M Steering Wheel (retro fit) Instructions Required

Hi,

I have recently fitted the M Sport steering wheel with the multifuction buttons. I was hoping that a plug would have been there for the multifunction, but it wasn`t. My car had original standard wheel fitted prior to this installation.

Can somenbody give the part number from BMW for the cable/harness to activate the MF? I belive the cable runs down the side of the steering colum and plugs in at the base?

Any help is very appreciated!

Just did this recently. I had to buy P/N 61120394848 (retrofit cable), and two adapter cables 61316933898 and 61316934173. The first of these connects the LH MF buttons to the RH; the second connects the RH MP buttons to the car. If you bought your wheel complete (I didn't), you may have these already...

To fit 61120394848, you will also need 2x miniature connectors (like scotchloks), but I can't find the part number for these at the moment...

Not a problem. Just looked through my invoices and still can't find the P/N for those connectors. If you speak to Jamie at Soper BMW, he should be able to help you out... it's worth getting them. The auto electrician who did mine said that they were of a far better quality than the usual scotchloks...
