Hi all

I would really like to change to the msport steering wheel part number 32 30 7 906 780. This appears to be mulitfunction does anyone have the part number for the same but without the multifunction? Also is this hard is it to change bearing in mind that I have 6 thumbs :D

Cheers for help

But - does the multi-function not just plug straight in, IIRC it does so even if you don't have it now, you could have it by buying the multi function wheel :scratchhead:

Hi Mike

Thanks for the info  is it easy to get the multifunction buttons to work? i would love to have the multifunction but thought it maybe even more of a pain to fit and get working?

OK have a read of this http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11992&hilit=mfsw and this http://www.shipkiller.com/files/BMW_Z4_Errata/Z4%20Multi-Function%20Button%20Retrofit%20Kit.pdf and it should all make sense.

This is great information, thanks. An M-Sport MFSW and new gearknob are definitely going to be my first mods. Hope the wheel is still available for £220ish as I've seen on the forum in the past.

Thanks again mike great info. Looks a little complicated to me (being practicaly challenged) I have done a few mods like aux and cruise control but this maybe a bridge to far. Any idea how much stealer would charge to fit?

I am thinking about getting the M Steering Wheel with multifunction controls. Just a couple questions... Do I need anything else besides part number 32307906780 ? Will that come with the trim pieces, or are those separate? This will be going on a 2005 3.0i with the normal multifunction wheel. Will that cable work with the M wheel? Thanks!

got quoted £495. The parts are only £145. I'm looking to buy the parts and do it myself. I tried to see if anyone was interested in a group buy (if i could get one that is). http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=13405.

The MFSW has all the parts you need including the trim pieces (that's what BMW said anyways).

Thanks. Can anyone confirm that 32307906780 is indeed the M steering wheel with multifunction controls? I got a price for this part, but was surprised at the cost ($385). Compared to what I've heard other people pay ($700-900) I am thinking it is too good to be true.

Definitely the right one for the black stitching version, the part number for the ///M wheel with coloured stitching is 32 30 7 836 820.

Thanks, I can't believe the price difference between the two. Twice the price for multi colored stitching? It looks nice, but I think I'll stick with black.

I may have mentioned this before, but I'm pretty convinced that the pricing for the black stitched wheel is wrong in the catalogue - I think the non-multi function wheel costs more!
