Has anybody here had any experience with these?:

When I first saw this I thought "that's a ridiculous amount of money for some plastic" but now I keep looking at the scratches and scuffs on my black covers and find myself more and more tempted. :)

Do you think it would look OK with the brushed aluminium trim?

Get the covers off and spray them with Plastidip - great stuff (even though I've never used it before). Someone on here recently sprayed their wheel covers with great results. I hope that helps :)

I'd look around for a used wheel in good nick and swap over the spokes... they don't go for much. I should know, as I just sold one :(

im waiting for mine to come back from the Carbon Fibre corporation - front and backs in carbon fibre look the business... price wouldnt be much different to that of BMW, plus they will not scratch, will not fade, will not peel etc etc.
im about 2weeks away from getig them back and wil post the prices / group buy discount / postage etc... and of course some lively pics to share...

I am sure I read somewhere that these don't quite fit the ///M Sport steering wheel as it is thicker and has a slightly different shape. The bits have to be sanded / dremmeled a bit to make them flush IIRC. Can't for the life of me remember where I saw it, not sure it was on here...

Srhutch recently plastidipped his, as did I. Srhutch's look great as I saw them in the plastic last weekend, really smooth. Mine are not so good as I didn't take enough care, but I know what I did wrong and am going to re-do them v. soon. Bings right. The silver spokes from an older/thinner wheel will need trimming down to fit. Not sure if any of the Msport thickness wheels came with silver trim though???

The black paint though - pfffff what a bad idea, every Mcar ive looked at recently has had the steering wheel spokes in a mess

Thanks for the feedback, glad I asked :) I saw the thread where they were painted with plastidip, looked good but it's not for me.

I'll look around for a second hand wheel and experiment with an aluminium spray and several coats of satin lacquer I think. I can only assume the person who owned the car before wore a lot of rings, inlcuding on their thumbs. Although that rubberised finish on the spokes just seems like a bad idea from the off.

Posted this pic on a thread of mine a little while ago. An M Sport wheel which was fitted with my original silver spokes. Only the bottom spoke needed to be trimmed, and only the top section of that...
