M Sport Springs - what colour should the dots be? Mine are Green.

Hi,

I was down at my friends garage yesterday fitting my new spacers and while we were at it we decided to checked the car over. I hadn't ever noticed this before but my rear springs have a few green dots painted on them. I always though M Sport rears (at least on a pre facelift) had blue dots and normal suspension had white so this green stuff has really confused me. Have I just got this wrong or do I have the wrong rear springs/ after market ones on there? I'm planning a B12 kit this winter so they will be coming off anyway, however it would be nice to know what springs I have been driving around on for the last 18 months.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Mine had sport springs and had 3 blue dots, as you've said.

Maybe they ran out of blue paint?

My sport springs had blue dots too. Had them replaced by BMW and they had... no dots!!

Mine has green dots and is a sport, maybe down to the year, 56 in my case

Replaced mine recently, mine is a 2004 3.0 SE but came with Sport Suspension from factory, has 3 green dots, I replaced with the Suplex equivalent.
