M Sport Seats???

Hi all,
I have just got hold of a good pair ooh er,
of M sport seats,
I have looked at posts and I am now more confused than I was to stat with!!!!
On pre-face lift 2003 do I just fit a flee bay BYPASS FOR BMW PASSENGER OCCUPANCY SEAT MAT SENSOR AIRBAG EMULATOR FIX UPTO 2005
and that's it? Job done? :thumbsup:
Or
Do I buy an old lap top that is compatible with the stupid software for the diagnostic thingy I got from flee bay a couple of year ago, take a degree in computer programing
and then download a big list of codes that could program a space shuttle to land on the smallest satellite orbiting Saturn? :headbang:
 
You have three choices mate

1 - Purchase and fit bypass sensor
2 - Remove your existing occupancy sensor from your current seats and fit in new sports seat with some modification and tweaking (Pawnsacrifice did this)
3 - Purchase pre-facelift occupancy sensor from BMW and replace the post facelift sensor (I did this)

The pre-facelift sensor is around £120 and a lot of faffing around, but for me it was worth it to ensure the passenger airbag would function as it should!

Option 2, sounds the best to me! I might spend the rest of the weekend trying to find a link to how to do this. :tumbleweed:

£615 plus postage came with door cards, electric control and heated, I did see a number come up on ebay but they were not heated and as my original seat were heated I didn't want them without!
