M Sport Package - press photos

Strange, it looks like it has an M branded aluminum dead pedal, but the other pedals look to be the standard black rubber.

nice, but still not enough to make me part with the hard earned im afraid. the side profile still looks 'under-wheeled' for me.

Even the seats are different from sport seats in non-sport model. It looks very nice.
Are they different, didn't think they were?

I thought they were the same also.

I have to say the front bumper is really growing on me but not the rear.

I like the front. Don't really like the dash but glad there's another choice. I don't mind the silver mirror housings but judging by the negative opinions I've seen so far, BMW need to make this optional. The worst bit by far IMO is the rear which I've seen described as "like it's giving birth to another car." There was a more lavatorial comment in a similar vein which I won't bother to share but which says it all. The new walnut leather interior sounds like something I might have gone for. Taken as a whole and depending on the additional cost, of course, there's nothing to make me regret my choice.

Probably the angle of the shot. Had a look again, I also think they are the same.

Wil the M Sport model come with non-adaptive M sports suspension?

Don't think so, this is all the UK info says -

M Sport specification for the BMW Z4
The launch of the flagship Z4 coincides with the introduction of the M Sport models. Customers can now choose to have any Z4 engine paired with the M aerodynamic body styling,18-inch M light alloy wheels, Anthracite head lining, M leather gearknob and M designation door sills. For added support Sport seats, featuring part electric adjustment, are also fitted, whilst all Z4 M Sport models come with leather upholstery as standard.

M Sport specification is available on all models within the BMW Z4 range. It will go on sale from March, 2010 and pricing will be confirmed in the new year.

I think out of that package the only thing I may be interested in buying is the M steering wheel as I do miss the chunky feel of my old one. Mind you, the thinner wheel is better for quick driving!

wheels look horrible and very small.

is there any performance benifits or just styling changes?

Normally I see the Sport/ M Sport packages as a must haves on BMWs but I'm not so sure about this one. From the pictures I think I prefer the standard car :o .
