M Sport MFSW fitted - Wheel not straight?

Hi,

Hope someone can help out, I fitted the M Sport Wheel to my Zed at the weekend, but have realised that the steering wheel is now not straight?

The Swheel fitted into the grooves and pins on the wheel and notched cog in the steering column so am confused how it could go on and not be straight..any ideas? The Swheel was always straight prior to the fit so I am thinking to ruling out that the alignment is out.

Going to try taking it off and refitting this weekend but before I do so wanted to ask if anyone had any ideas? The steering wheel points slightly to the right even when the wheels are straight.

I haven't taken my steering wheel off, but can only think all the splines are the same so you must have it out by a spline or two.
 
I have taken mine off, there is a special knob at the top of the wheel bolt, so the steering wheel can only go on straight... very strange that yours isnt.

did you buy the M wheel new? if not check that the splines have not been broken, or twisted on your new wheel...

Hi,

I checked the grooves and splines prior to installing and can confirm there is definetely only one way the wheel can go in.

I will be taking it off this weekend so will check that the groove is still lined up centrally at the bottom of the wheel - hopefully they havent been twisted somehow.

The only other possibility I can think of is that I had the wheel in steering lock prior to installing.....could of this made a difference?
