This has been covered in a few posts and various forums already but wanted share a short overview of sourcing, fitting and performance vs standard set up.

Big shout out to Lee at ZedShed (Bramley, Hampshire, UK) for doing the work, top chap and super handy being round the corner.

As far as I’m aware the rears aren’t possible to upgrade at least not easily, so left these stock with new OEM discs and EBC pads.

BMW E90 M Sport Front Callipers £280.00 (used check linked post for part numbers)
Brembo 340mm x 30mm Front Brake Discs - 09.C398.13 £289.99
BMW 1-Series F20/F21 M135 Performance Front Brake Pads EBC Yellowstuff DP42130R £149.99
Front Pad Fitting Kit Pins For BMW M135i M 135i F20 F21 2010-2018 (For Brembo) £10.89
BMW Z4 E89 (FULL KIT) Wezmoto Stainless Steel Braided Brake Hoses / Lines £69.99

Sourcing was all done through fleabay, prices can go up and down and do check the discs are a pair!

I needed to replace the discs and pads all round, so thought whilst I’m at it may as well do a small upgrade and improve the bling too.

These are a straight swap, no adjustments or spacers, the carriers are built into the calliper.

As a warning depending on the standard fit disc size of your car if you go for a large upgrade from standard you might need to adjust the brake bias via coding.

Performance is outstanding, most of which will be the bigger brakes,
4 pots and EBC pads, the braided lines will of course help too. Note the previous discs and pads were due for changing too. The biggest improvement is the consistent solid feel, the standard setup isn’t bad these just up the game by a long way for what I would say is a relatively inexpensive “mod”

Obviously (IMO) they look way better especially with size of style of the alloys.

Thanks mr, do you think you’ll need to adapt the bias? What are they on 35’s as std? 330mm?

Stock were 348mm single caliper…on 30mm discs

I’ve coded ‘performance brake’ using my 6 pot Brembos on 345 28mm discs..which I guess when I move to 4 pot bmw on 370mm discs I’ll keep …you never quite know what the coding tables do..but seems good..
