M seats

If i had known they were electric i would have offered him the cash too! Great deal you got there broaders, hope all go's well slipping into your new leathers

Sorry to disappoint you all but they are black and they are fitted to my car!!!! and no you can't have pictures because it is dark!

They did not go in without issues though. The seller said they were heated, however when I compared with the standard seats I could not see any heating elements. The wife would never forgive me if I fitted non heated seats! Fortunately after checking Realoem.com, I sussed that as you cannot retro fit heating systems to the m-sport seats so maybe they elements are out of sight in the foam. Good guess to be honest..

Then I realised the seatbelt fixing and pretentioner had to be moved from the old seats. The new seats were in the low position so the wiring could not be fitted. :headbang: Had to fit the m-sport seats, raise the height, take them out, fit seatbelt pretentioner and refit them.

Took them for a test drive – Fab. :D Unfortunately the airbag light is now on the dashboard. :headbang: I am guessing I will have to get the dealer to reset?

You not disconnect the battery whilst removing the seats?

They are a great upgrade  one that not many people get the chance to do.

Are you selling your old seats? Or keeping them for when you sell the car?

Yes, battery was disconnected, reconnected, disconnected, etc, etc, etc. Alarm went off at one point, think the car thought it was being stolen so I reconnected the battery, locked and unlocked the car which seemed to sort it. Might have something to to do with the airbag light I guess.

Seats will be for sale shortly, ebay probably. Will need to fix the early signs of wear, going to try this method http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7235.

You'd be able to tell if heated by the 3 separate heater element cables coming together to their own connector block that fits the main harness connector

Someone must have taken them off. Mine came with them already on

I suspect you turned on the ignition with the passenger seat disconnected. This triggers an airbag warning. I did the very same thing as I had to move the car at my wife's request !!! Dealer willl hit you for about £40 to reset the light.

Great project

Heated! I thought they were not because I could not see the heating elements but it seems they are inside the foam somewhere.
