m seats

anyone else noticed the lumps in the m seats, there is one in the squab and one low down in the back, feels like an electrical connector for the seat heating maybe, or even a spring, any ideas very annoying

Mine does, you cant feel them when sitting in the seat, and i only know of them because i spent a couple of hours when i first got the car sorting out a seat squeak, hence i prodded and poked and fettled.

I dont know what you mean, maybe you should take a photo and mark those areas.. maybe you are talking about isofix?
Dont really know who can and who cant drive a car in uk, but the m-seats I bought had isofix system in both the passenger and the driver seat..

All I know is that these seats are rubbish for a 40 grand car,my 15grand focus were far better, poor show BMW.

Love the looks but could never be described as comfy 8) i'm only 5,8 & can only imagine bigger guys struggling with them if covering any distance

I'm 6'4" - 5 hours of driving today and no issues. First long drive I did my right leg ached a bit, think I have just got used to it now though

I find them extremely comfortable, but when i first go the car it did take me about 3 weeks of pissing about with different adjustments to get it set up right.

The trick for me is to have the seat base at the steepest angle
Then set up the seat position for your legs - forget your arms completely
When your legs are right, adjust the steering wheel to suit your arms, leave the seat alone

anyone who cant fit in the seat, should join local gym to trim those love handles you've been nurturing for years

hmmmmm , have i got a bony arse and you guys have fat ones, ? or i have some bumps in my seat , funny, mrs mad4 has never noticed it either, !!! :tumbleweed:

M seats are excellent IMHO , perfect for a serious sports car , the idea being you can feel what's happening to the handling through your body , if they were squishy the'd be utterly useless wouldn't they. Taking an extreme example , my caterham has grp tillet seats which are really moulded to your shape and no comfort at all but excellent for sensing handling !

Totally agree. They give a lot of lateral support during cornering and they are very comfortable. Perhaps I'm just the right size and weight for them?

Great motors these mc's eh Exdos , glad you are enjoying yours , was going to go on a run out today but all petrol stations around here are shut so maybe tomorrow !

I have no probs with comfort or support, i am aware of these protrusions more when i treat the seats with leather protector, have a feel around next time, i'm pretty sure they will be all the same.

Took mine around Pembrey last year and was sliding all over the place the seats gave no grip to my body at all, zero lateral support.
