M Roll bar covers

Remember a while ago a post regarding the M Roadster roll bar covers in black has anybody had any luck with a part number ?

I have the part numbers, these are from the Tischer part department. The covers are $600 US a side. 51438040735 left, 51438040739 left
51438040736 right , 51438040740 right
you can also buy leather covered roll bars from roadstersolutions.com for $1500
 
Those are the leather covered covers. There are also an elusive black non-leather covers that no one can find the part number for.
 
My preference would still to to paint them, in satin/matt black you can't really go wrong if you take your time, and can get them off in one piece.

I'm sorry, but IMO anyine who has $1,500 to drop on roll bar covers has more many than they know what to do with ...
 
Yep it's a lot really. I hereby volunteer to paint them for anyone that wants them, 1200 USD shipped anywhere in the world :roll:

Cheers folks and going to go with painting them as Mike suggested which i have been thinking about for a while just thought i would see if anyone had got the part number as my mate works for BMW so could have got a discount.

Will buy a new set to spray that way i do not have to worry about putting the hood up on the bare roll bars they look like they could cause some damage

Going to try the Halfords bumper black paint which i have used in the past leaves a nice satin black factory finish then will see if using the hood rubs away the paint.
