M roadster for sale .. huge markup

The red one is just up the road from me, they have a few ///M's in on occasion and seem like good guys, big money though, Chesterfield BMW had an Imola one in the other week with 16K miles for around 15K Iirc ( may have my knickers in a twist with the price though :D )

I had a peek last night at AT and these are both on there too, bang in the middle of the e89s - it would appear they have decided to try and drive roadster prices in the same direction as coupes. There are a couple more 'silly' priced cars on AT too... Time will tell if they can make the prices stick, but you're right, that's a bloody massive mark-up...

I suppose we should be happy. The S54 is becoming a bit of a legendary engine and the zed is perhaps becoming recognised as a future classic. Those prices reflect the premium for the Coupe too.

So I suppose I wait for another private M or pay these prices .... its my choice I suppose

Nick

There's a few //M's on the forum for sale, depends if you want the backup of a dealer. Good luck in yr hunt

BIG fan of the Imola / Champagne.. always been my fav combo - looks epic on the roadster. Just needs a retrofitted coupe lid and it'd be 10/10 :)

The silver grey is identical to mine, even down to the plate starting OE07.
Mine has much more miles and I paid much much less though!!

Its Just summer madness thats all. it seems Z4MR's are more prone to seasonal fluctuations than nearly any other sports cars/roadsters.
I bought one in October 13 for 11.5K privately (06 model with 45K on the clock). Honestly I think this was about right for a private sale- I would have accepted 12K to 12.5K for a dealer price- they perform the HPI check, prep the car, check it over etc and checking the car out at a dealer is a lot less hassel, and they have to give you a warranty of some sort. But the equivalent car today in Spring seems to be advertised at 13.5K privately. Of course we can only speculate at what the final selling prices will be- but some fools are easily parted from their cash...... however a word of caution- if you smash it, the insurers will only give you glasses guide price what ever you have the car independently valued at..... Personally I would wait till at least september- and see how many of these 21K wonders have gone back to 14K which is here they should be- alternatively your 21K would buy an 09 Caymen S. :driving:

That's just an insulting mark up.

I'd rather have this...

Though I'm a bit worried about its one off 3.3 litre engine!

Two things... seasonal (sunny spring, and being a roadser) and any good ///M Z4 will be increasing in value, don't expect many more 12k - 14k crackers.... these cars both look superb, but too high, probably should be nearer the £17k mark IMHO

Don't know how much it went for, but the silver-grey one is sold.

I'm going to look into my crystal ball and I reckon we'll see this for sale at Hexagon for significantly more very shortly...
