M Retrofit Cruise Control (again)

6 hour 350 mile round trip for me so still thinking about it but £250 is a good price.

How long does the job take as i would wait for it to be done off course.

Sounds a decent deal considering the £££ of parts! Think I'm in too.

I assume we can go to either branch? One in North Tyneside and the other in South Shields... both close together anyway, but just to be clear...

160 miles and 3h 30mins for me.

Not sure Re. different branches, i only spoke to the one in Tyneside.

I've not booked in yet, away with work for a month, so will sort it out early June.

If you drop the car off at 8:30am, they will have it done before lunch. Voila! Into town with her for some shopping, lunch, then back early afternoon for the car!

You won't regret it chaps. I drove up to Prestige from Dover to get mine done. There's a Premier Inn just down the road and the Metro into Newcastle goes from 200yds away from Prestige. Oh and if you fancy a nice new Barbour (Lucy?!) jacket for the winter, the factory shop is almost opposite...

Mine was fitted 18months ago, no problems and I use it all the time.

what was the story with the loss of key programmed functions and offset steering wheel after this instal for someone else? Did we ever see a reason/explanation?

Cheers!

Craig

if this was a DIY thing id do it but i dont do long distances enough to warrant it, i do however have CC on my TT S... i love this feature!!

i will never buy another car without it!!

Agreed. Even a 5k clio has CC!!! Gutted mine didn't have it when i picked it up! Assumption is the mother of all fcukups!

Job Done !!

Works well on the drive back im not sure if it's as factory option.

I could'nt get the memory button to work (could be me as ive now read the manual)but if you set the speed at say 50 then accelerate then lift off the speed settles at 50 which is the same thing as the button.

So anyone here have the option fitted at build please clarify.

But the main thing it works :)

One small error the bottom cowl is the wrong one so they had to cut the existing cowl and made a good job must be said they have ordered the correct one which they will send me it's a easy fix.

I have a brand new spare bottom cowl now if anyone is interested :D

Downer for the next person price has gone up to £300 so if i was you i would make a appointment tomorrow and they may hold the price at £250 :)

God it's a boring drive up there M1-A1  DID GET 29.4 MPG dropping to 28 so that was good at a steady 80mph
