M Rear tyre sizes

Hi all,

Just been reading that people are fitting different sizes to their rears over the M standard of 255/40 18's - is this true and safe? Say 255/35 18's for example?

It will only mess up the speedo accuracy. Depending which way you go it can even make it more accurate.

Think you would be best doing the fronts at the same time though to keep the ABS sensors happy.

The only reason you wouldwant to go to 35 18 is a svere dropping of the car , otherwise stick with 40 rear 45 front .
Or 35 on 19s
