//M Meet in Surrey 12th April 2015

Havent heard any more from the m5Board/PH forums. Think the plan is to follow the plan on the m5board. will cut and paste shortly.... 8)

This was the general plan posted all those weeks ago.

10 am at Cobham services on the M25 because it can be accessed from either direction.
Stay there for an hour or so, meet each other, admire cars, drink Starbucks and wait for late comers. Bored dads in people carriers can wander over and ask us questions etc
Convoy to Brooklands, approx 8-10 miles, park in the museum car park, take pictures etc
And/or
Drive a planned 20-30 mile loop through the Surrey hills (Box hill etc) ending either at Brooklands or back at Cobham services.

As an update the guys who's organising mentioned on the m5 board the more the merrier. So open to all in my book

Look forward to meeting those attending form our forum! I think there is one or two...

As metioned already - open to all.. :D

good to meet you Fast3000...hopefully catch up at another event soon. Sorry to hear that Broadoak and a M4 had a coming together but it seems both guys are ok.

Blimey that's a real shame.

It's something we need to be really careful of on meets. Adrenalin flowing, excitement at being part of a big convoy etc etc.

In my experience we always are - but the temptation to dick around is always there on a dual carriageway... Just need to resist

The only time I've been seriously scared on a meet was when I went to pull out into the outside lane to pass traffic, and at that exact moment the forum driver behind me - in a more powerful car - decided to floor it and overtake both of us. He completely took me by surprise and had I not caught the manoeuvre and corrected then the result would probably have been quite similar to this. Frightened the hell out of me, and also pissed me off big time because it was just unnecessary.

It was a really good meet up until that point. Some really friendly chaps and got to meet 3 other zed owners from this forum ( so we had good representation!) with other m owners admiring our cars in cobham it was a lovely morning up until we decided to head for box hill......

Regarding the crash it personally left a sour feeling for me. I am totally gutted the cars got wrecked and relieved no body surprisingly was badly hurt. But my other feeling is - time and place guys no need to prove how big your kahunas are.

@bing the m4 was totalled if your about during the week or even today coffee? Taylor street?

Fast3000, I'm on leave this week, so not in the City :(

Though currently suited and booted and about to go for a journey round the M25

Sounds like a "good luck" "knock 'em dead" comment is in order here! :D
