M market watch

I enquired about this. The dash trim was swapped for the piano black and the vanos was done with timing chain at mr vanos.
That makes sense, Mr Vanos always seems to change the cam-chain when doing the Vanos. Although from what I've read on m3cutters Mr Vanos doesn't seem too responsive just now.

I’ve heard the same. I had a chat with someone he used to work with and was told he fell out with the master tech who used to do all the engine rebuilds at Mr Vanos and ever since then Mr Vanos has been hard to reach. Probably too swamped with all the work!

It’s also on Davanti tyres, which they describe as ‘good’, but I guess that just means their condition and not their quality/performance.
Just pulled a set of Davanti’s off my (new to me) focus estate as they’re dreadful in anything wet or cold. First time I’ve properly experienced aquaplaning in a car, totally un-nerving. Cheap(ish) and quiet are apparently the selling points for them. No thanks.

Re the focus just got shot of a 70 reg ecobang model same problem. un- nerving is an understatement .
When raining anything above 40mph and you were a passenger.
Company car, and decent tyres of various makes, tyre pressures helped but always cautious.
Its not always the tyres

Ha yes it moves around a bit, nice stiff chassis. Coming from a Fiesta ST so quite used to that.

Threw a set of Uniroyal tyres on it and sticks like anything in bad weather now. Unhappy I couldn’t get my usual Goodyears for it but the uniroyals seem pretty good.

That does look like a sensible price for a car that has had the bearing shells replaced, with genuine CSLs (assuming they are) as a bonus.

Nice one sold

Yes that was a really decent price. The alloys alone would go for 2-3K, and if the spare is a front alone … the same again, Ha!

I’m looking this year at discs / pads / lines / shocks / springs / paint / alloy refurb / 2 rear tyres. Way more than half the value of the car (without having those jobs done) … I can see why they’re being broken for parts sadly at these prices.
