M market watch

Initial view would be £24-26k for a car with that mileage....possibly more if it was mint.

Also my thoughts, I certainly wouldn’t be letting it go for below £24k if in good condition with correct service history.

I doubt it'll sell for 24-26k. That's what they're advertised for but sit for sale for months without selling.

25k seems a high ask to me
That's dealer price and do they ever sell at that money. Good luck if they do and good news too cos it puts the value up

TBH with that car I'd SOR it with a reputable dealer, not too many people have £25k in cash to buy it privately, so the financing options from a dealer will broaden it to a wider market. The £2k it'll cost you on the sale is probably well worth it.

Coupe or roadster for starters.

Ah sorry I thought I'd put this in the original post but must have edited it out by mistake!

Thanks for all the replies. I have thought about SOR - are prices generally better versus trading it in to a dealer?

What do people think about waiting till the new year ? Is there much fluctuation in price?

Thanks

I’d wait until around March time at least as these type of cars seem to move quicker after the winter.
I’d also take into consideration what other M Coupes are on the market at the same time at a similar mileage/ price point.

if anyones interested ive just got back from having a sneaky peak at the sunningdale car thats up for 23k.

Nice clean car, low miles at 45k, Replica wheels, PS tyres, appears to have new brake discs up front, no nav, Aero spoiler, paint is abit swirly but generally in nice condition would come up a treat with some work with the polisher, you will be the 5th owner if you buy this car. Looks very cool in the window, interior also looked in great shape with the drivers seat area looking alittle stretched but nothing of a concern. Really nice place to look around and some interesting cars FS.

if anyone wants me to actually go and really look around this in detail im happy to do so, its 5 mins up the road from me.

There's no need to sell a car to a dealer or do SOR to sell at £25k. There are plenty of people with £25k to spend on a car. In the overall scheme of things that's not a lot of money for a car today.

I've recently sold my 2007 911 Carrera S for £32k privately, and I could have sold it 4-5 times over at that price.

Many of the banks now offer PCP type finance deals at better rates than those offered by dealers with car financing. The chap who bought my 911 did exactly this to finance the car.

Most dealer warranties can be matched and bettered by privately arranged warranties with AA or others on the market. I have the BMW Insured Warranty with mine which allows you to choose different cover levels and it's a better warranty than any other offered by any UK dealer other than BMW AUC.

I'd rather buy a good clean car privately from an enthusiast with an inspection by BMW if there is any concern than buy from a dealer who's main priority is profit margin, both in the price it was traded to them for and then the selling price.

IMO £25k for a Z4MC with less than 50k miles is not overpriced if condition and history is all together.

I'd like to see more people selling these types of cars privately rather than feeling they have to sell to a dealer/stealer to get a sale.

Thought you meant Sytner Sunningdale, got my wires crossed :)

I’m 5 or so miles from Sytner Sunningdale.

Me too, I’ll wave if I see you!

So am I, but I won't wave as sadly I don't have an M.

But where is this little aston place? I would have thought it was near Newport Pagnell, but these days it may as well be in Wales! :)

Black on black 06 70k ZMR at £12800 :? Advert is pretty poor but a close look at the discs/pads/tyres before a delve into the "full service history" then assuming a little haggle room & this could make a decent prospect for 12 months "free" ///Motoring  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-BMW-Z4M-3-2-M-Roadster-RARE-COLLECTABLE/112666991481?hash=item1a3b79db79:g:1-MAAOSwaSZaM-dR
