I was totally wrong about the mineral oil and generally thought that was true from the hundreds of threads here, m3 cutters and bmwforum and tbh that one thread has put to bed a long believed part of M servicing.
People can rip the piss and scream at me until they are blue in the face and if that's a risk they are willing to take then fine. The response Dave got from BMW sums it up for me. After all the car in question that started the thread was pretty close to bmws late mileage parameters at 1550 miles. I also don't think the barrage and forum humiliation was called for, many of which were members with less than 500 posts but hey ho not the first time, won't be the last.
I've cut out the stuff I'm not interested in commenting on.
I told you over and over to stop spreading misinformation.
I told you repeatedly that you didn't know what you were talking about.
You've been told by many others that your expectations on service history and the reasoning around some of your comments is laughable.
You admit yourself that mechanically don't have a clue, and yet you still carried on spreading misinformation.
You can complain as much as you like, but you have nobody to blame for the abuse and humiliation but yourself.
On the topic of post count, how is that relevant??
My post count is low, but I've rebuilt motorbikes from the ground up. On cars I've carried out engine swaps, turbo conversions, supercharger conversions, top end engine rebuilds. Just because my count is low doesn't mean my opinion isn't relevant and informed, and just because your count is high doesn't mean you're opinion is of any value.
On your final note, if you learn from your mistakes, it might well be the last time you get grief on here.
