M market watch

You can still buy M coupes under £12-13k and low mileage examples under £20k..

They have been at this level for years, the big money examples are very late concourse cars with super low miles..

So with the M coupe being around 20 years of age now, if you project the Z4M pricing forward you should expect £20k ish for a 60,000 mile example in 2025

Hi guys,

Just noticed that the Interlagos Blue Z4M Roadster I was going to buy last year is back up for sale: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4M-ROADSTER-/162002133347?hash=item25b8146163:g:vC8AAOSwu1VW4FlS

Very good value for money for the mileage, especially with the KW clubsports and AP front calipers, IF the engine has been properly sorted now. A car I had tried to buy for some weeks with various barriers to me viewing it, the 'slight tapping noise' was actually a loud knocking and required bottom end work at least (I have a video of the noise). The work was being done by a friend of the seller who was a technician at a main dealer. Disappointed to have driven all the way to Kent for a wasted journey.

Up for sale at a dealer now for more money: £17990 :?

Not often we see really leggy ZMs but if all ticked out on inspection with condition & history then wouldn't put me off :? needs to be less ££ though to take the risk imo

I did say they never go back on right :poke: :D

I've been after an M for awhile but for the mean time have just sat back and watched the market. Hardly any have sold which puts me off buying because it seems they are priced too high :(

Not saying there haven't been a few asking optimistic prices but of all the ones we have seen this year this one stands out as one that ticks all boxes
If the ///Market is heading as folks expect ( whether that be 2,3,4,5 years ) then this surely has only one way to go :? If miles are kept to 3-5k a year that is

Agreed, the market has stopped for these ever since I bought mine in March :( that MR on 37k would've flown out at that price at the start of the year.

Personally don't think the Price of M's have gone up over the last 18 months. Anyone can put a car up for 25k but if it doesn't sell it's meaningless!!

Completely agree , folks putting a value on their car based on others advertised has clearly proved a point this year
Those realistically priced have sold albeit after a good few weeks , many garages & owners are trying to obtain future values for their Ms now but the market has yet to get there .

Im after one also and not rushing in to it.

I see cars sitting there for ages, makes me wonder if you went with a wad of cash and waved it under the nose of the seller if they would bite.

Im waiting for 'the one' and who knows when that will come.

Yea i would say the year kicked off predictably then went off the rails April / May & hasn,t recovered as yet , let's hope it was Brexit / Euros related & normal service resumes next spring

Yea I've noticed a few sitting around all summer. That said I think a lot of second hand performance cars seem to be priced all over the shop - puts buyers off.

I was drawn to this one..

Can't agree with the de badging part but it does look well kept & silver grey is a great colour for them  tailpipes need some attention though

Echo everything Mr Wilks said.

De badging is easy though so no need to discount any car.

I'm looking to buy a Z4MC and they seem to hanging around for a long time. Some of the asking prices seem very high, particularly the private sales. I'm looking forward to finding the right car at the right price!
