M market watch

Contemplating selling my MC as I've been thinking of going for something a little bigger and can't really have both. So, was wondering where folk think the right price is...? Overview of spec is as below

Jan 08 car, 63k miles, Ruby Black, Black leather, carbon dash, Gruppe M, Aeroskirts, Eibach (got all the standard parts too) BMW warranty £0 excess.

Under the lovely AUC warranty my friendly BMW service manager got the car a brand new gearbox, clutch & dualmass (4k miles ago), replaced driveshaft differential, Xenons, Stereo head unit...which totalled approx £12k..!

With all of that, not quite sure what it's worth...prices seem a bit all over the place, but does £18-19k seem about right?

Id say well in order kicking off there mate , if there is a stampede then hang out for the ask , if it sticks then you can always lower but your car has some very choice mods on , the AUC warrrany plus the sizeable repairs already done

What do we think of this? Seems an honest and comprehensive description in the ad.

After I get this house move out the way and we have more drive space I will be treating myself
I think :D

Not a fan of the wheels, and the first ///M I've seen with after market headunit which I would also have to change back as it looks shite.

Didn't think the wheels looked too bad but might look a bit cheap close up, never been a fan of team dynamics.
It would be CSL's only for me anyway. Agree on the headunit :?

As much as the colour combo is lovely in person, I just couldn't buy a car for the colour alone. it's pretty low on options (heated seats, CF dash... no PDC, Nav, Cruise, folding mirrors). Would far rather the lovely blue Coupe that's up at the moment (in fact it's just made me buy satin black grills for mine - love IB when clean!!).

I always thought Intergalos was the most "common" colour for the M. Looking at AT recently it seems that Imola is taking over this achievement. Where have they all come from?

5 Intergalos, 6 Imola and pretty much all the rest are Black.

Looking at Autotrader and Pistonheads there seems to be 2 price ranges £11000 - 13000 for high milers, and £15000 up to £25000 for medium to low milers this is about £2000 - 3000 more than last year. The dealers seem to be pushing the prices up do you think they are selling at this price, as on the forum they seem to be more realistic.

There was a similar car to mine up at £19k from a dealer, then down to £18k and sold within a week or two... so in answer to your question, yes I think dealerships are pushing prices up and this is indeed having an effect.

We interlagosis are holding on to them! :)

The level of kit is definately a matter of taste tho. I much rather have the clean non-nav dash (satnav also is severly outdated) - or the manual seats as they are 10kg's lighter. Each! (The satnav is actually 20kg in all with cd reader etc.. So without these two options the Z4M is 40kg's lighter! A massive reduction.)

However heated seats, cruisecontrol, rain sensor, parking control etc I find good stuff, and lightweight too. :)

Prices just seem all over the place to me.

I went to view this one last weekend just to see one and it's the nearest to me. Surely it's £5000 overpriced?? Not even fully specced and that headunit looks a bit nasty.

I've been keeping an eye and only the best have been selling and whether they are getting the asking is another question.

A lot of cars up have been for sale for a long time meaning there's either something wrong with SH or they are just over priced. I've seen the market getting broader and the inflated prices seem to be falling a little.

Lots of these expensive cars have no spec also. I would say a good 10-20% can be had off these dealer prices easily.

Sat Nav is nowhere new 20kg, even half that would be pushing it.

I was referring to a friend who took all his stuff out of his racecar, its possible he included the amp there.. Anyway! :)

Massively. In fact the only spec I can see is leather dash and heated seats!
