Roadsters are holding their values better than the hatchbacks by the looks.

Edit, didn't see the last week on my phone.

I dont get this chat with the Sat Nav -a cheap Garmin at 70 quid will do a better job or just use your iphone -and it looks rubbish in situ on the dash

the nav is actually a good unit... its easily as good as the new sony unit in ST fiesta. i may be slow and bit antiquated in its execution buts its very good at getting me where i need to be. It neatly folds into the dash. Nothing to not like really.

This will always divide opinion. I'm in the like camp as I think the dash looks bare without it, but also because of the extra functions over and above Nav.

Not to mention the TomTom / Garmin (which I have both by the way) are a lot slower to route than the BMW unit, and get lost in the middle of tunnels (unlike the BMW one). TomTom/ Garmin do not work in cities with high buildings (was great fun driving in New York with a Garmin that did not work).

Coming out of tunnels I would always curse the Garmin and tomTom as by the time they got signal again, I would have missed a junction. They are new units as well so they have not even improved in that respect.

The other thing is that you miss the additional board computer functions, the radio info, the iPod music selection, the phone book and so forth.

I'm in the not fussed either way camp. Think I only used it a handful of times in the 2 years I had it.

I certainly wouldn't dismiss a vehicle because it didn't have Nav.

I'd want nav - always charged, always has signal, easier tbh. I've found the system perfectly adequate in my 3.0si.

There's not been much in the way of new MRs up for sale recently. I'm waiting for an Interlagos/Imola with extended champagne to come up.... seems I might be waiting a while. At this rate I might have to turn to the dark side (SLK55).

Do you mean where are there?

I'm less fussy on the spec of a 55. As long as it has HK audio I'm more open to colour options.

They do sound amazing. Heard one start-up the other day, wonderful noise.

My only concerns are: auto box and interior (family member had a 350 and it seemed really plasticky inside).

Might try and get a drive of one over the Xmas break.

Pretty scant pickings out there just now
Barring the silly priced or the ones that have sat months not much in either roady or coupe , should make a interesting market come spring when traditionally a bounce in prices could be expected

Have I missed something?! Isn't this Andy's?!
