If you're buying for investment.. i'd not be looking at cars with 60k miles tbh.

If longterm investment perhaps but for a 6 month flip the 60k is unlikely to have much impact :?

An investment is an asset considered to give a return, and that is surely the case with that car. The mileage is irrelevant Imo.

sub 30k, for me. Yes you can make money but really you're missing the prime money makers in the marque, those with low miles.

but you have to pay a premium for those so potentially more ££ tied up for a similar yield ?
Better to buy the mentioned car , enjoy it & if it increases over what you invest then its double bubble

sub 30k would be great, but they will be expensive so possibly not very much profit, hard to find too

So tempting at that money! Park mine up, use this one over winter and then move it on again in the spring / summer. Now how do I tell the wife that I want to pull the money out of the offset mortgage to buy a car that is very similar to what I have, only with double the miles!

If you buy two cars now, one with 25k miles and one with 60k miles, and in 3 years you sell them - assuming they appreciate, which is going to net you the most profit for your investment?

The price curve for appreciating cars is directly related to their mileage, and it's not a linear chart.

That "cheap" silver ZMR on the AUC site has been sold... and I've been called back by Kelly about it 3 times so far. Something to do with their computers being down... smells funny to me, possibly never for sale but a good marketing/contact collecting exercise?!

I called about it the first day it went up - guy seemed very keen to get it sold, asked for details on mine for part-ex (which were sent over the same day) and was promised a call back once the car was in stock, as it was still with the previous owner as a result of waiting for private plate to come off.

No call back whatsoever so they can lump it IMO. I've got cash waiting but I'm not doing business with a dealership that can't be bothered. FYI it's back up on AT again @ £14,950 (£1k more) and at higher mileage, 58k ilo 56k. Cheeky barstewards and yes I smell a rat too.

So guess who I've just had a text from... "The car we previously sold has unexpectly come back on the market" yada yada. Careful not to step in all the bullsh1t...

I can't believe they still try and use that bullshit tactic..

If anything it turns a potential customer away....

Idiots

Sales fall through. I work in a commercial role for a publisher so am perfectly au fait with this.

But I don't take away a product, reduce it's worth (2k more miles) and add a 7-10% premium!!!

Seems very good value. Looked at it when it was 16k and would not accept any offers.

Don't know who's more gutted, him or me!

Yikes :o that stands out as the MCoupe bargain of the year if all stacked up on viewing
A great way in to ///Mness & can only head upwards in value if looked after

if only we could predict the future, this may be worth buying and storing

I'v put a deposit down on this after viewing late yesterday.

FBMWSH, the whole front end has been repainted due to a minor incident, next service due in May 2017 (Ins I), Decent life in the tyres/brakes also has the added benefit of an immaculate interior i.e no wear on the bolster and no marks on the steering wheel plastics, etc.

It needs some TLC i.e the front calipers bleed nipples are possibly seized and there is a slight oil weep on the front LHS of the engine down low but im pretty sure it will brush up and i'm glad to be back in the M fold after having my car written off in the summer.

CSL's/CH's, Aero's, Stubby, ZHP and possibly a GSR Carbon airbox await.... might even put a BBK kit on if i need to replace the calipers although i could probably just get them retapped or buy second hand ones on ebay :D

well done, what have you got now?

I had a Z4MR in carbon black but that got written off.

Iv been managing without a car since August.... Sold my aeros, Zhp and a few other bits.... In hindsight I should have kept them but I'll buy the bits as I go as I did with my last car :)

Shame I couldn't get the CH wheels off my old car and the H&S exhaust due to damage.
