M market watch

Normal market choices resumed  little if any choice of ZMc under £15k after last week seeing 2 great examples around £14k
This seller asking £16k clearly in confident mood describing his car as "prbably the best in price range " , "unmarked silver paint" & "mechanically perfect" http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/bmw/z4m-coupe/bmw-z4-m-coupe----------------2006/4171553

That'll be mine then. :D

Lurked. Bought a 330Ci. Love that. Dallied with a 911. Sold that. Z4MC ownership begins

It's as good as described and a veritable Bimmerfest on the owners drive with him having an E63 645 and E46 320D as well.

First job? CDV delete. Then geometry. Then ....

Thanks chaps. Drove the black one at Sytner Leicester on Friday. I have an A4 I need to move on and thought they might be able to come close to what I thought the car would be worth as a trade in. Not a chance. Drove to Walsall yesterday morning and did the deal saving me more than what Sytner offered on my A4.

Great move & welcome .
The silver car certainly appeared worth its ask & a little surprised it took so long to sell ? Your good fortune

My good fortune indeed. SatNav & DSP & Bluetooth & heated seats & red leather. I know I can have CC if need be. Will be giving it a thorough clean at the weekend and get some hi-res pictures posted with it next to my 330 Clubsport also in Titan Silver.

Just to show how strong the market is:

http://www.knightsgarage.co.uk/showroom.html

My Z has already been sold by Knights Garage, who themselves paid me significantly more than I paid for it 2 years ago, when it had 10k lower mileage.

Never made PH, so I've no idea what they got for it, but I'd imagine £3-4k more than I was paid.

Another, beautiful Z for sale at strong money:

So what did you pay for it ?

Thought so...

Do you really think that they got £23-£24k for the car?

even if they did not get what they were asking for they must have got something close ish

i can totally see why these are becoming so sought after tbh.... just like the boxster spyder ( which is doing much better in residual value terms ) these type of cars are gone really, with the new tax rules the performance car is going to be an expensive thing to own indeed, factor in the fact a sporty fiesta costs 20k now days.... Cars like ours are only going to be more and more collectable. we are in a good place. The modification world has moved on so far now-days that you can really build yourself something special with your current platform in most cases. Unless you've got lots to burn its going to be a costly exercise to upgrade and still have all theboxes ticked like the z4m does, it never got the press it deserved as it really is one of the best ///M cars out their and slowly but surely the public are catching on.

Think petrol prices are helping too, considering the near £1.50 a litre it was not too long ago we're basking in relatively cheap prices making our low MPG car's a bit easier on the wallet when filling up. I wouldn't be surprised if when the fuel rockets up again demand will drop off a bit.

Most likely already had a buyer in mind making it a easy deal for them :? They would have known your car needed zero prep so could afford to offer you that bit more ,
Perhaps the new owner will pop up & reveal all

today my mate and i went to look at this car:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...=1500&channel=cars&page=1&model=z4m&logcode=p

The car had no battery fitted and only half of the emergency tyre stuff was there. The cd changer was also missing. There was a spare head light washer cover inside the car and the front bumper appeared slighly out of line around the off side head light, around the kidney grills the paint work felt rough and both head lights were pitted - maybe at some point it had been bumped. Both seats showed signs off rubbing on the head rest - the passenger side more than the drivers side. I was told that there were no receipts so the service could not be checked. The last 2 services were stamped up as oil services
