M market watch

Good price..

Certainly looks like prices are sliding now... I thought the peak would have lasted longer :(

There will always be cars advertised at what appears under & over market value , that's not just on M cars
Buyers have to go in at a price they are happy at & enoy the car ,
That said there have been no roadys or coupes advertised sub £12k for a good while so perhaps that's where the bottom lies ?

Definitely looks softer now price wise. Perhaps the cam and the followers "made from cheese" are suppressing the prices

You will also notice that they are not selling either...

Many of the cars for sale at the higher end of the market have been on for months...

The lower end seems buoyant enough, people likes a bargain..

Looks like zermatt's/halifaxbantam's old Ti roady has gone though. Wonder if the buyer paid anything close to the £18,995 asking price.

With age the spread in value between the best and average examples grows with maintenance and refurb cost. I'm guessing that once the current froth settles values of mediocre examples with patchy history will go the way of most ///M cars in the mid-term -down

Still not in the same league of Dairylea soft cheese that Porsche made their 996/997.1 engines from. :poke:

Prices still seem pretty buoyant to me. Cockney Playboys 70k miles Roadster is well on the way to getting the 15k asking price he's after on EBay with 4 hours to go! Met his reserve price as well it seems so looks like it'll be gone.

There'll always be the ones 'missing something' that hang around for ages, whether its history, condition, spec, mileage etc. Most people looking for these cars are probably prepared to wait for one that suits them.
I watch the market pretty closely, some sell ultra fast, some hang around for 6 months +.
The more that are for sale at one time will push prices down IMO, especially the private sales.
Looking at my Excel sheet the average advertised price of an ///M Coupe this year is £18,311 compared to £16,585 last year.

Up for £15.5k on PH so will be interesting to see what it does finally go for.

Yup, didn't he say he'd be happy with 15k on his for sale thread? Either way it's met his reserve price so will be an ex owner by the end of the day it seems! I'm watching it just to see if there's a flurry of last minute activity. Fair play to him anyway for sticking to his guns and not letting the for sale section 'police' here knock him down. Seems like a good example

£14,900 for CP's M, that's gotta be a result! I'd be over the moon with that!

Yep not bad at all & considerably more than a pal has just paid for a tasty ZMcoupe :o maybe the prices are all fudging together as years go by , similar to the M3 coupes & verts :?

CP's car was lovely......

RPI's,nice wheels,Suspension and beautifully detailed.....

Who says mods dont put money on the cars sale value ????

Hhhmm :? but have the mods covered their own value ?
Must be over £2k spent from how the car would have been ?
The detailing could have cost little if done by self & i would have thought the car stock would have brought £13k :?
I think you have to mod for yourself but it is nice to see the majority of the spend coming back at the end which very often you don't
Also shows a healthy demand for models that are not as they left the M plant

Not sure about that...

Thought it was only 60kish ? You're a hard man to please , i think the car would have gone at £13k on its 224s & shining like it was
