M market watch

I thought the whole point of this thread was to help people follow the market trends (buying and selling) and get an idea of what these cars are selling for currently and the demand. If people then selling ignore what the market does your just throwing money away and giving people too much of a bargain and an easy ride. Sure dealers will always sell at a bit more, and there's nothing wrong with pricing your car to sell, obviously accepted that some people need to sell quicker than others. But if you have a look through this thread, the demand is clearly there for these cars at the moment so take a punt and put the price up a bit higher, give yourself some negotiation room. If you go for £11500 or £12000, people will naturally try and knock you down so go a bit higher, and see what happens. 12k for a 63k miler in good condition is silly with the market as it is IMHO.

You both have what seem to be decent cars with average miles on there and are pricing well too low in my opinion. Remember Roadsters are seasonal car's as well, if the weathers starting to feel warmer (which it is already) people will start thinking about summer cars and drop tops so you can add a bit on for that as well, demand will increase further. It's your car and up to you how you sell it but you'll lose nothing by pricing a bit higher, apart from maybe waiting a bit longer, but if that gains you £1000-£500 then surely it's worth it.

Best of luck if you decide to sell, decide before the summer starts proper though or I guarantee you'll be keeping it

My z4mr will be going up for sale shortly due to a change in personal circumstances. It's a 2008 '57' with 77k. Silver Grey with champagne heated leather. Has nav, inspection 1 in last 1000 miles and 4 new mpss tyres. Thinking about advertising for £11500. That seem reasonable?
"
The "Woots" machine 8) bargain of 2014 , shame it has to move on but at least you've enjoyed "M" motoring & not lightened the wallet too much

Are you regretting not taking the plunge on that one Andy?

It was literally a week after buying the current V6 TT so timing was not great , otherwise i would have pulled the trigger without hesitation , still very tempted to have a go but equally still enjoying the Audi

That's the one. Need something more baby friendly or I wouldn't be selling

Wow Darren M, that coupe you had was gorgeous (hope I'm not rubbing salt in)!
I didn't have enough cash or brave pills for an M so my coupe is a 3.0Si but I hope the M's do start to appreciate soon (after all there aren't too many of them) and hopefully there will be a trickle-down effect for the 3.0 Coupes!
But then I like it so much I'm not too bothered (despite my puncture this morning on the way to work - glad I've still got run-flats)! :driving:

Do we have the first Synter price drop? The black one with red leather and 39k miles now down to £20,250 from????
From memory the private seller (Jimbob) was happy with what he got for it and it had a few rattles that a buyer would probably want sorted - something to be aware of if someone from the forum interested. SOld to sytner for £16250

I'm not trawling 46 pages to see if its been linked but i dooooooooooo like this for Mcoupe that stands out
I don't even think its particularly overpriced if you managed it for £18k or even a tad under 8)

It looks great, but its not a genuine full AC Schnitzer kit though, it's not even half of it :?

This is the AC kit for MC http://www.ac-schnitzer.de/en/bmw-cars/products-models/z-models/z4-e85-e86-2002-2008/z4-m-coupe-e86-2005-2008/

From what I can see visually, that one on eBay has the AC spoiler, alloys, but no front & rear bumper or skirts.

You are correct but its still a stunner & probably under the price for a standard Mc in white with that mileage :? so the ACS bits come for free :)

True story. Its been up for some time now, I vaguely remember seeing it when I was in the market for a M back in January.

Yepi would guess buyers at that end are wanting to stay true to the original form as poss & as proven by the time its been for sale there will be minimal buyers for it
I think the alloys look great on it , the rear spoiler i could live without but suspect it will look better when viewed in the real

I'd love a white ///MC, but Im guessing amny out there would walk a mile from white, so that and the ACS stuff as you say Andy will put many off.

Wheels are easy to sort but I wonder how hard it would be to remove that spoiler.

I think the ACS cars look a right mess...like a more expensive version of a Halfords Citreon Saxo.

I'm inclined to agree. I think Schnitzer and the other German one, Hamann, have some very questionable exterior body styling kits - not just for the Zed but for many BMW's.

Also agreed.

Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.

I genuinely look at them and think how can you make it that bad...how bad were the designs they said no too?!!! Personally, I'd devalue a car significantly if it had all that toot on it.

Give me an hour or two on photoshop and I reckon I could do a much better job.
