M market watch

Wouldn't take many miles onto the 3yr old / 5k before your £35k starts to look like its been through a bacon slicer
Throw £12k/£15k into a 650i for weekends ? a little less BHP but more extras :?
Tis very true, but it's like that with most cars. At least get to experience the joy...remembering I bought my Z4 M on 6*** miles and covered 70k miles+ in three and a bit years with much fun :). Not doing anything like that milage now though - approx 5k a year at the moment.
Life changes unexpectedly. The main reason I went from a Z4 to my X1 was because I was expecting to go back to doing big miles again and covering winter months- it didn't happen.
A friend picked up a brand new M 235I recently for more money than the M3. Miles for miles from now I expect the M3 to hold it's value better, having already lost quite a lot already (guessing it was a £60k car originally).Or even if it doesn't it wouldn't have lost much more probably.

If it happens I would expect to keep for quite a while so depreciation not so important anyway. It's by no means a done deal however.

650i too big and not special enough for a weekend toy! Hence my original preference for a Z4 M at a decent price :). At £22k for a 47k miler for a nearly 9 year old car (as an example), this becomes more appealing (to me) - regardless of whether I think Z4 M prices will go up or down - only takes a few big issues in an old car to remove some of that £ :)

Yea that's very true ...although at 5k a year you would be very unlucky for something major going wrong.

Out of interest , what do you think the M3 will be worth in 3 years ?

No idea. Not as many built as I thought so who knows :). Would hopefully be worth over £20k with 20k miles on it but would have had three years of use too and would be 6 years old.

Very very odd strategy with this one if they've upped the price from 12k to 15k... in what world do you put the price up when you can't shift a car? This one has been around since I was looking for a ///M back in January. Bearing in mind I got mine for 11.7k with 64k miles on from a franchised dealer, 15k with 92k miles is a stretch. Unless they're adjusting their prices in line with Sytner upping theirs.

Hi all,

I've just purchased mentioned car, it was up for £12k but they've put to price up on the ad once I paid a deposit to keep the ad active in case I backed out and then re advertise quickly qithout having to pay autotrader fees again I guess?

I traded a 330i in against it for a little bit under 12k.

Loving it so far, but am interested how its value will be in 2 years with maybe over 100k on it.

Yea about £500 drop a month seems feasible with low miles.
How many E9x M3's where built then?
QUite a few worldwide but I think 9000 odd E92's in RHD. Actually rarer as a 4 door E90.

Yea..
You dont see many E90 M3's...Funnily enough there is a silverstone blue one near me for sale,he had it up last year at £18,999 but has now dropped it to £17,750.

Hard to say if production numbers will help prices then, not "rare" as such.... Although with you keeping mileage uber low there will always be a market for the car when you come to sell..

So near straight swap then

The Sepang MC and Interlagos MC @ sytner are confirmed both sold. The Sepang one went quickly despite still appearing on the BMW UK site - sold to someone in Ripon.
No idea on selling prices other than the cars are selling at these prices :P.
The Carbon Black MC @Synter is generating interest but no buyer yet but people are attracted by the CSL's apparently. It has a stubby and assuming it was a forum members car?

My z4mr will be going up for sale shortly due to a change in personal circumstances. It's a 2008 '57' with 77k. Silver Grey with champagne heated leather. Has nav, inspection 1 in last 1000 miles and 4 new mpss tyres. Thinking about advertising for £11500. That seem reasonable?

Too cheap IMO, but you should get a quick sale at that price. Look on PH and you will see that there aren't exactly many examples for sale and none as cheap as £11500.

I'm also thinking about selling my M Roadster in a couple of months so was looking for pricing advice :)

2006 (06)
63,000 miles
Sliver Grey
Red leather with heated seats
No nav
DSP Hifi
Elec folding mirros
Eibach springs
MM exhaust tips with gutted exhaust
2 owners with me being the second. bought in 2009
9000 miles to next service which is Insp 1

I've been doing around 5k PA milage wise.

New front struts and drop links all round fitted last year
New genuine steering wheel and gear knob fitted 6 months ago as the original steering wheel was tatty. bought straight from germany.

New Vred Tyres fitted last year around 2000 miles on them.

Thinking of putting up for around 12k?

Cheers

Mark

I don't think you'll struggle to sell at that price.

I think you're both undervaluing your cars, assuming they are in very good condition with correct history I think a price of around £13,500 would reflect the market better.

Same as above I'd say, too cheap, you'll likely have no trouble selling it at that price and if you're waiting until closer to summer you should be able to add to that price quite easily. Price it in relation to the smaller backstreet garages, maybe slightly less, there's that few of them for sale that I'm sure people would consider both private and trade offerings and go for the best example regardless of who's selling.

Thanks everyone :) I will have a think about the price then but will probably try sell on the forum first, maybe in the next 6-8 weeks if I can let her go...lol

Car is in Great condition and has full service history, just not all main dealer. Oil services are done by local garage with me provifing the correct oil/filter. Main services have been done at BMW & BMW Indy.

Cheers
