I've had a VERY bad experience with Sports & Prestige Centre, my advice is avoid them like the plague

Damn! There's always one who comes along and puts a spanner in the works!

Seriously though, it's always good to hear from someone who's had experience with a dealer in the past.

I bought a Boxster S from them for 22k (car before the M) and it had a knackered gearbox. Had massive issues trying to get them to admit liability, warranty I had from them wasn't worth paper it was written on. Cost me 3k in the end and MAJOR hassle

Didn't realise it was a coupe - that is insanely cheap!!

flimper spec though, no satnav and no M CFdash either. knocks it down quite a bit.

Agreed, additionally it may be due an Ins II and discs/pads at that mileage. Discs usually lady between 35-45k miles from what I saw when I was looking :)

True, InspII could be in about 5k miles or so at another £1k. Take away £1500 - £2000 for flimper, £1k for service, brakes etc - that is easily 3 - 3.5k in total compared to a good spec one.

The service and brake part is guess work of course.

Kinda running side by side to my other post, but I guess it's relevant here too. Has anyone previously viewed and eliminated this one for any particular reason?

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/used-cars/bmw/z4m/used-bmw-z4m-3-2-m-roadster-2dr-sunderland-fpa-201501130122247

I put a deposit down today for it, seems legit enough, a bit rough around the edges in places but the test drive made me grin. Just posting on the off chance that someone else has viewed and noticed a problem with it.

Thanks in advance.

No, but congrats on the purchase.
When you get it, it'll be worth checking when the car was registered because early cars falls into a cheaper road tax category (pre-23rd March 2006) and I remember a member on here got a refund as he was incorrectly being charged the post 23rd March 2006 rate.

Oh my god, this car was registered on the 24th March 2006. I need to find the first owner and slap him hard, very hard. :headbang: haha wow.

Probably the dealer was the first owner, most of the press cars are pre 23rd, very rare beasts.

Fair enough, still it hurts like. Obvs you know the tax rates when you sign up for this deal, but when there's one day in it which could have saved you ~£225 per year, its a fiscally scented turd.

Something doesn't seem right, that car isn't on their website, or the Autotrader, and the 'Volkspeed' website is dreadful, looks like something a school kid put together. Why would someone sell that for 10k when there are others up for 16k, dealers aren't that generous!
