Last week I contacted a BMW dealer for a potential p/x of my Z4MC against an E92 M3. After he offered me scrap value for the car, I asked the salesman to justify his p/x value. He sent me a screenshot of his "guide":

So according to his "guide" a Z4MC with only 20,000 miles is worth just over £15k retail. Lets gloss over the fact BMW are trying to sell a Z4MC with 68,000 miles for £21k - http://usedcars.bmw.co.uk/M/3.2-M/Leicester/1829540-605411184-3497160.aspx?srcmdc=se_na_re_
 
Think some of the higher prices are caused by dealers trying to corner the market for certain models. I'm not suggesting the figures above are correct either but think some dealers are trying to push prices. Just takes a couple of cars to sell at the elevated level and the market is repriced. Think some of the ultra low milers are best able to command these high prices but not flyng out of the door...

That's quite frustrating, what would be interesting is doing the same exercise at one of the Sytner dealers in the midlands who currently have 2, one at about 23k and the other £26k with approx 40000 miles on.

E46 CSL I would imagine is another example of how wrong the book is, can't believe it would value a 10000 miler at £90k!!!!

They've put a non M bonnet on and even that's dented.
 
Jeez thats been stored somewhere for a good while & at that ask in that order they should look for something even longer term
Better off with a 100kmiler at cheap £

Looks like a different bonnet, but must admit when I first saw it I thought of the one for sale on here.

Can't see that being straight having needed all though panels replaced. A Frame does look like something is wrong.
