Cheap way to get the MC experience?

Cat D in 2007, when it’s a 2006 does make me question the “light damage” statement. Light damage is a few £k to repair. I’d be very surprised if this was written off over a few £k when it was only a year old. However it is fairly priced taking that into consideration. Just get a thorough check over from an Indy prior to purchase.

It's certainly cheap for an MC at that mileage, but a Cat D in it's first year would suggest it had a fair bit of damage. It's just possible it happened before it was a year old and the damage was going to cost more than 50% of its value to repair as most UK insurers would replace it, but that's still about £20Ks worth!

MOT history is pretty poor too. In 2009 it had an advisory for damage to front subframe and in 2010 for damage to front chassis rail and nearside floor panel then in 2019 and 2021 for corroded rear brake pipes - but it wasn't tested in 2010!

So I'd give it a miss, but if anyone was interested it would certainly need a good going over.

I'm no expert on ///M versions of the coupe, but apart from the sat nav, this looks a real treat:

It's also been featured on here:- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=131401

Although the A/T link doesn't seem to be working now. :?

It certainly looks good, but isn't exactly a bargain IMHO.

Mr Tidy, the ///M Coupe specialist. Thanks for your input, I had a feeling you would know more than me. I agree a lot of wonga for the a 70k car but in the advert it sounds like a lot has been done to make it a different beast to a standard one. Again though, I'm no expert.

So, my MC went to a trader today, got exactly what I was asking for from it, but sad to see it go....was a cracking car for the past 7 years. I wonder if I'll end up in another down the line. :?

I'm left with some brand new OEM cup holders (never were fitted), original M front grills and a number plate surround. I'll list them up for sale later on.

Nice looking roadster in Interlagos Blue with relatively low mileage - just not sure about the seats as it was originally supplied with Extended leather trim Walknappa black.

That looks surprisingly cheap to me. Nice colour so if it’s a genuine car a good buy for someone!

A few roadsters coming to market lately with strong asking prices, two on this forum, if they sell it looks like roadster prices are starting to align with coupes :?

Saw somewhere that this one has had the seats leather painted, and done badly at that.

Just to add to the thread, I have recently parted ways with my Carbon Black Z4M coupe after 5 years of ownership. I sold to We Buy Any Car - values had been steadily climbing until it was too good an opportunity to sell. Quick, efficient and zero hassle.

If anyone ultimately buys it (YC57 UWK) on here you have got a good one.

My 718 Boxster went up about 5k with WBAC from last February, ended up having OPC'S and independents bid on it and got 4K more than WBAC offer.

How did you get trade buyers to bid in your car?

Noted at auction BCA at Leeds North today. :o

It will be interesting to see what interest it fetches at BCA!

I will miss the car but I need a V8 in my life so time to move on to something else.

White ZMC up for sale over on M3 cutters. Nowt to do with me but though I’d flag it up if it’s of interest to anyone.

Sold by auction on collecting cars back in March and now up on ebay for less than the current trade price valuation - decent mileage and comes with the Eventuri intake and Remus exhaust. Only problem is that its nearer to France than it is to where I am in Sheffield
