M market watch

You couldn't drive it, but for an investment piece this must be a good bet....right?! Is there any on lower mileage?

Best colour as well 8)

Agree with that regarding the exterior colour but the interior could be better - now if it was extended Amarone

£44k???

Someone would have said this about the used 508’s, 3.0 Batmobiles or the M635i in days gone by and now look...
D’Oh!

Will be interesting to see what happens over the next decade or so as hybrid/electric/self driving tech comes in.

Don’t have any data to back this up but I assume 508 and 635s were made in smaller numbers and if in daily use were much more susceptible to rust.

Once you factor in inflation, cars really have to jump up in value to make a profit, if you’re buying new anyway. Was thinking about selling mine as it doesn’t get a great amount of use at the moment and once you factor in inflation a 45k car (in 2008) equates to £58k in today’s money. Throw in 10 years worth of insurance, ///M priced servicing and VED and from a financial standpoint it doesn’t make a massive amount of sense.

Luckily I purchased mine for about half that price in 2010 and have had some great drives/experiences in it. Still didn’t have the balls to calculate the cost per mile though :-)

Regardless they are unlikely to drop any further, so I’ve decided just to try and use it more rather than worry about costs and mileage.

New advert appeared on AT someone asking £44K for their M coupe.

That's right - only 4,900 miles on it apparently

Why did they buy it?

or did it sit on some small island hardly going anywhere, getting eaten by the salt like those cars from the Channel Islands

Lovely example listed today with all the right options including the whippy and a full service history - albeit main stealer

Damn It!! Why couldn't I find a E86 M at this price back in Nov??? This would have been within my budget (just) and even though I love my E85 M and driving with the roof down this last week has been really awesome, I just adore the the rear lines with the E86! Shame it would take me too long and cost me too much money to try and sell mine and buy this one!

Question.
What would be the value of a 2007 Z4MR, 30,700 miles, FSH at BMW dealers, imola red, black interior with extended leather with satnav. It's never seen any road salt and garaged all its life. Perfect bodywork condition apart from the usual stone chips on the the front bumper. Private seller. 🤔

[ref]Angelus666[/ref], just what i thought :?
Ive just checked, if i were to take the car to my home country - Spain - they sell for about a 70% MORE!!! Crazy prices in continental Europe!! :o

I was £19k for a 20,000 mile Z4MR in black with red leather. She is in lovely condition.
Think this will be a long term keeper

Does anyone know this car? Is he a forum member?

Looks a good’un especially at that price and mileage. My favourite colour too.

Need more info on the service history and pictures of the interior however.

Hello [ref=#006600]srhutch[/ref], no it's not. Mine is U.K. spec. I wasnt talking about taking my Z to Spain to sell it. It was merely an observation. I was shocked at how much more expensive our cars are, like for like in the rest of Europe.

Just come up on eBay in Knaresborough with 48,000 miles at £24,000 - no photos yet
