£9000 engine rebuild.......

All that waffle and bullshit really puts me off a car, I'd overlook that one for a straight talking just the facts one all day even with the odd discrepancy in a service list. If it met with his meticulous standards when new and used as a 3-4th car how does it need a wheel refurb, either it was not as he describes when he bought it or he hasn't looked after it very well, either way it's all desperate to sell b******s imo.

That's a beauty but he is in a squeeze there with that car , its 76k & we have seen ones around that money with far less distance covered .
He needs to find a proper BMW nut & S54 enthusiast who really understands the value of the work carried out , unfortunately not every potential buyer is clued up & will most likely disregard it & move on after reading the generally alarming words " engine rebuild "

Not really fair with regard to the wheels. None of my wheels are curbed and i've cleaned them carefully over the years but they are corroding and need a refurb.

Looks like a nice example to me.

Maybe. I'm generalising really, using the wheels as an example, just too much waffle for my liking, trying too hard. Anyway Im in a grumpy mood so chuff him, random abuse for no reason works for me....

it doesn't say that it needs a refurb? he says

"In March 2016 I noticed on a few alloy wheels that the lacquer was starting to crack/peel,so I decided to get all four alloy wheels fully refurbished to a very high standard which cost me a further £600.00. The result is very satisfactory and they still look stunning now. "

so the wheels have been fully refurbed 2k miles ago.

it does look like a mint example. Its not low miles but I guess engine rebuild gives you the piece of mind.

Even at 76k with a full engine rebuild at least you know the engine should be in a good condition for many more miles. It is in line with dealer prices.

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201701121257520?sort=price-desc&make=BMW&advertising-location=at_cars&model=Z4M&radius=1500&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&postcode=cr36ew&page=2

Although NJs stuff is always at the higher end of the scale its usually good. Still £19,250 for an 80k we must be heading toward the top of the curve. But there are a couple of cars now on autotrader up to £30k.

Saying that this was for sale on the forum for £13,500 (http://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=94152) and now is commanding £18k with marmite wheels (although I don't mind them)

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201702132261817?make=BMW&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&radius=1500&model=Z4M&advertising-location=at_cars&postcode=cr36ew&sort=price-desc&page=2

Looks like it needs some loving. Nice car tho.

Having not really agreed with some of your previous posts, Tom, I'd agree on the latter being silly. Rear bumper looks to have been resprayed poorly (look at the orange peel in the photos?), front looks quite badly chipped, blue calipers/tinted lights/non-oem wheels, steering wheel looks very marked too... bonkers money IMO. :tumbleweed:

Hadn't realised that had also gone the dealer's way :? they really do have great hope piling into mid milers (60k/70k) around £13500 & loading £4500/£5k on the top , that's the 5th or 6th now in as many months with little proof the market will actually stand it as ultimately there needs to be buyers willing to spend
You still looking with a thought to buy Tom ?

Ye it's not cool. It's a nice car but certainly needs some care, attention and money spent to compete in that league.

Me and the gf have just bought our first house! Should be in the next month or so! Most importantly it has a garage and an inspection pit :D

So def still looking just keep going round and round what to buy the right one will come I'm sure but happy to wait :)

Ello ello - look whats made a signature appearance

Cheers guys! Really excited about it!

Another reason for hesitation is that we're renting ATM and have a communal car park. Not the best place really, people aren't very curtious with other people's property. I would be gutted if I came back and it's door was covered in dings.

Your signature M coupe Tom - a reminder of the quality of your M  Congrats on the house

Nice to see the M on your signature as well mr wilks  (Have to have an Imola meet up - there's a few now  )
