M, M and M

I own BJ57 KKW now...have done for the last 18 months.

When I purchased the car it has OEM e46 M3 wheels.

Now I'm running OEM CS wheels purchased from TomK.

It's good to see old pictures of my car =D

Saw this on Instagram too, very nice.. I'm never too delighted with 'aerosills' or that carbon spoiler but the CSL wheels are Classy Acts.

Couldn't disagree more, don't think those M3 wheels suit it at all.

the mesh style wheel is just a yawn fest now... every 116i upwards sports them in rep form... the m3 wheels now only look better they are probably rarer on this car by some margin.

I like both sets TBH, I just wanted a change.

Although, I would argue that the CS wheels that are on the car now are rarer.....most people go for the CSL spec.

I went for the CS spec wheels as they had already been powder coated to a high quality......definitely didn't want the OEM silver finish.

I wouldn't want the car to look different, I want an OEM look which I think the CSL wheel gives.
Maybe I should go back to 224's, just wish they were 19" and didn't need spacers to sit right.

The photos look amazing...!

Since I am a new member, I would like to ask you if you have ever arranged a bigger meeting? Or if you know if there are any European M meetings?

Will keep you posted. I normally look for the piston heads Sunday service meets.

I usually check the piston heads website when on lunch at work, the meets fill up very quickly...:-)

Great to see these pictures again, now 7 years ago!

Happy to see the car is still running. I bought it for somewhere around 25k back in 2009 and was delivered to me by the owner from London to its home then in Ayrshire. Belive it had 20k miles or thereabouts back then. Never missed a beat. I had the zhp clutch mod fitted which you may or may not be aware of. Only other thing was stubby arieal and different gear knob which I think I took off and sold.

I always keep my eye in and would love another coupe. Gutted on missing the 9k roadster in Edinburgh.

I've now got a 335d estate which is the perfect family car.

If you pm me your email address I'll see if I have any other pictures on the computer that I can send over for a history of the car.

Jamie

Hi Jamie!

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Car is still running strong (touch wood), currently has close to 75k miles...I picked it up on just over 60k miles.

I use it as a daily, so the mileage is going up faster than most.....never fails to put a smile on my face after a stressful day at work.

I was aware of the clutch mod, still has stubby aerial and I put on a new shifter late last year.

Im currently waiting on a new OEM x pipe and remus back boxes, the original flanges have corroded and destroyed the pipes in the process....sounding a little bit loud at the moment.

335d estates are awesome....If i could justify another car that would be on the list.

I'll PM you my email address - would be great to piece together the history....I believe most of the owners have been on the forum!

Alex.
