It's the insurance that batters me!

How much? I am paying £380 now for mine, compared to £220 (or thereabouts) for the M.

Very nice JJ. I'd love to have a 911 one day! Although, I'm 27 so maybe too old now!!

These car salesman obviously earn far too much cash....must remember to negotiate harder on my next purchase :D

Do you keep it in your garage? That always seemed to bump my insurance up.

Don't forget he is half your age, and there was that incident a couple of years ago.

lol, add a 0 to the end of both of those quotations and that's about how much I pay/paid :headbang:

Lovely car the 997 but I am holding out for a Gen II when the prices come down. Reports of bore scoring and IMS failures put me off a GEN 1.

Did you have this checked before purchase?

H.

Looks awesome I love 911's really miss my old girl! , your have less to worry about in the standard Carrera the S suffered the most. Am a huge Porsche fan boy and your love every minute of ownership. Get yourself on 911 forum as there a helpful bunch

This was Rooster!

At 24 think I was driving a Ford Corsair or some such car. Nice brown metallic mind. On the never - never too. How things have changed.

Nice car :) Insurance sounds nuts though.. You gonna bring it along to a kent/surrey meet JJ?

On the Porsche topic, how do the Porsche world view the 997/997.2 turbo? I have to say i'm tempted. GT3's just seem to hold their value tooooo well. One of the few cars i reckon i can park on the street in London and nobody would look twice at (no offence, they're just popular here and i dont think people want to key them as much as Astons)

My mate (git) has just picked up this brand new 991 to go alongside his trackday GT3 996.

He's still not as fast as me in the Z4MC though

Wow, that is badass. If i could pick a car right now.. that's the easiest one to be a dead cert. Then again, i made them open up the F-Type V8 in Croydon for me the other day... also a big fan, very different cars though (the only other one i want is the V12 Vantage S...)

and yeah.. revival... saw JJ had migrated to the 'dark' side and jumped in ;)

He's English, but works for the European Space Agency, splitting his time between offices in Germany/Netherlands.

Does help that he gets 40% off the price of new BMWs/Porsches.

You are such a tart Bing, yesterday it was Mr Wilks's wheels, today these.
