So what is it as it's not a standard pre or post facelift and supposedly has a BMW part number?

It's the front bumper off an E46 M3 - I'm 99% sure of this.

actually I'm not sure now, maybe off a 330 Sport or something. Whatever it is, like you say, it's not for a Z4 so someone's in for a shock :lol:
