M driving gloves ...

if you have these, are you going to wear them when you nip into a supermarket for example, like the idiots that wear bluetooth headsets when not in the car?

sorry, really winds me up.

Yeah, thanks for that, really :fuelfire:

Especially when they're with other people :x Either they think that having a bluetooth headset is high tech and makes them look cool (it does not) or have such self importance to believe that whomever might be calling them just cannot wait! Seriously you slack jawed morons, it's not going to be NASA calling asking you for help in getting Apollo 13 down. Pricks.

However, wearing the gloves to the supermarket would give more purchase (no pun intended) on more awkward items, less chance of droppage. Also help protect from chills when retrieving items from the freezer cabinets.

Really wish I hadn't found that Dunhill link... want some myself now! But my cycling gloves will need to do the job for now.

Hows about one of these to go with your new gloves? :driving: Maybe add this to your birthday present list? 8)

The USB stick is pretty cool, would be better if it were shaped like a Z4 key though. :x

Never take the Z to a supermarket :)

People, get a grip, its July and its summer. My gloves won't be coming out of the drawer for at least another 4 months! :D

:P

I'm still waiting for the punch line pvr - shall I move this thread to the lounge.

Last driving gloves I had were at 18 in my 850cc mini. black and white pvc with knuckle holes. Sometimes you look back and just ask 'why?'

I do wear cycling gloves off road though. padded, prevent ropes burns and splints and keep mud off to some extent

I wish I could keep my gloves in drawers for four months straight! :P
(Does that help punchline wise?)

+1 to all the comments regarding people wearing bluetooth headsets when not in the car / on the bike.

Total doorknobs.

I don't have hands free or bluetooth, So i resort to the method used in the pic below, I think it looks well cool :?

Be honest Lucy, if a guy pulled up in a car and stopped to chat you up and he was wearing driving gloves, what would you think?

Is this thread for real? I think buying BMW or any car brand clothes is just sad and a willy waving. Why can people just wear normal clothes? This is what gives the car makers a bad name and stereotypes the people buying the cars. :x

Depends how cold it was  If it was the middle of summer I would think what a twat!

I have a pair of gloves that I wear in the car when it's winter, they're red leather the same as my interior. Am I a twat?

They are not clothes - they would never leave the car and they would not be visible to anyone. My M is for driving fast, and reviews seem to indicate that having driving gloves improves the grip and control of the car. That is all I want to achieve. As my wife was looking for them, she thought it was a nice touch to have the car - associated gloves.

I believe it's a different affair if you're of the female persuasion lol ;)

I mean.. you just have to Google "leather gloves riding crop" to see their quite common apparel for young ladies (apparently) :P

Agree. I always wear my gloves in my Zed, but not in other cars. Contact between your hands and steering wheel will be different. Also, oil from hands is actually not good for leather steering wheel. I bought my BMW black leather gloves few years ago from eagleday.com (US).
