///M Driver's Pack - Fact or Myth?

I think I shall ask some specific questions when I'm next there.
I fear that you may need to add "What will my insurance company think of it?" to your list of questions!

Surprised I've not heard about this either, not something I'd be interested in, but interesting to know that it was offered.

Sooooooooo... I wonder if this can be done to the roadster. My local indie is run by two ex-BMW master techs and when I said that I was getting my car one of them waxed lyrical about how great a car it is, and also how they could tweak it to 'remove all the limiters', for about £400. I guess it's possible that they know a way of doing it, despite that document looking awfully like it needs nuclear launch style one-time codes... I think I shall ask some specific questions when I'm next there. I'll never NEED 275 km/hr, but then I didn't actually need a new car either :D
A limiter... guess that's one 'option' that Alpina didn't see fit to include? :evil:

We've had this dabate before. My understanding is that the speed limiter only operates on 6th gear, though I've never read anything official saying this. The MR does not hit the, rev limiter, in 5th until 170+ mph. I can confirm a gps 167mph in my roadster, in 5th, with the roof down, before I bottled it, as the front end was getting a little light.

I've heard that too. I'm conscious of my mpg though, so having an unlimited 6th gear would be more environmentally friendly :|

Liking your logic Bing. Possibly 6mpg as aposed to 5.

Not sure the Roady would ever get there in 6th though, not as slipery as the Coupe. :thumbsup:

That extra mile could get me to a petrol station and save a turtle from dying - both incredibly worthy reasons.

True about coupes. The drivers being lubed up 24/7 probably helps too :D
