Due to the fact the the Z4 M was a very expensive car in my country when it came out (around 100.000 euros) some guys bought a crashed Z4M as a donor car. I have seen most of those cars in close and some of them were very difficult to understand that they are non original M cars.
In most of the cars I have seen the battery was not in the boot except one. On the M cars the battery is in the boot. Also you can check the VIN and also on the door you will see a sticker that mentions the tire pressure and writes the model.

Well, do yourself a favour and do NOT drive it if he gets one. Otherwise you will have nightmares after that...

IMO The 2.0 liter has nothing to do with the M. When I was looking for a Z4 and I drove the Z4 2.0 E85 I was like ok
I do not want that car.

But when I drove an M, Jesus! My stomach was so tight and my was heart beating so fast.
The feeling of sitting on the rear wheels, the instant acceleration, the sound, the roar, the gearbox, the fat steering wheel.
Damn after that ride, it became a life goal to own it. After 3 years trying to find the right one, the dream became a reality. :driving:
