M coupe has made me ill?

I get face ache every time I drive my 2.5 roadster with the roof down - from the massive grin on my face :D

The Z4MC's OEM suspension is bad. It's got nothing to do with the age of the driver, but all to do with a complete imbalance of the F<->R spring rates. The rear springs are way too stiff and since you sit on top of these springs it translates into a bad ride, which spoils the car. Unless you've upgraded the suspension to a better aftermarket system, then you'll never believe just how much better both the handling and ride can become.

Seriously, I would have thought business + spirited driving + 6 hours + ///M = hard work and not surprised you felt it. :cry:

Did you get a chance of a break and walk around or were you in meetings and the like followed by being on the road, meeting deadlines?

There are so many different seating adjustments I would think a little more experimentation with your seating position would pay dividends.

You could also be 'under the weather' - were you dehydrated perhaps - plenty of rest the night before - right nutrition through the day?

Lots of possible solutions and ways forward I would have thought - but there's no doubting a dedicated 'sports' car can be demanding and might not be the best vehicle for relaxed travel as part of a long working day. My 'sports' car made the journey to work and the journey home something to look forward too -a highlight - but it was only a few miles - not 6 hours of journey time on top of work. :o

Felt a tad faint this morning when BMW wanted £112 for a full set of calliper piston seals, but that was swiftly replaced when the bill for 4 discs was read out and I blacked out :D

Full set meaning 4 ? I paid £38 for the fronts last year so £112 seems steep unless they got it wrong.

Can't speak for the Coupe, but the MR is one of the most comfy cars I've ever owned. Be it on a hoon or across the continent. Seats are great, maybe need some adjustment on the seating position.

Like you, I can't fault the seats. You should try lifting the front of the seat with the front lever by just tilting it: this then gives you every seating position you could imagine. :thumbsup:

Drove non-stop from Toronto to Key West Florida in one of those.
24 hours
Mind you I was younger back in 1972.
Spring Break and Ziggy Stardust
But there were 4 of us and all our gear stuffed into the boot.
Made it back home after an overnight in West Palm Beach. 8)

I went out for my longest run yesterday in my ///M R for a good 1 3/4 hour run and when I got back I felt like I had been plugged into the mains power supply the feeling was electric, just wished I could have carried on for another 1 3/4 hrs :D can't wait till next blast out :thumbsup:
 
I've driven from Monaco to London in a day (including a Calais-Dover ferry) and frequently spent 6-7 hours on trackdays driving about 30-40 minutes of each hour. Afterwards, I'll feel a bit tired, but I've had none of the aches and pains you describe - it must be you! :P

That said, bumpy UK roads covered in pot holes and craters are a miserable experience...
