M Coupe breaking on EBay

I'm pretty sure I recognise this car from the forums but just saw it pop up on the bay.

From the get go the ad put me off but I thought I'd contact the seller anyway for a price on the rear bumper.

"If you can get parts elsewhere please feel free to purchase
No haggling / all prices are less then dealers"

He came back with a price of £500! :o

I replied nicely enough just saying it's too much for me and as it may help the sale I've seen plenty sell for a lot less.

There is a few currently listed for less than £300 that have been for sale for weeks!

He replied -

"GO BUY THAT ONE BUDDY I KNOW MY PRICES"

What an absolute tool and a good example of why I stay away from private sellers on eBay as a rule.

I'd suggest others do the same in this case.

Not this guy again.

It's been posted on here before. He wants almost new prices

He's a bit of a wally. I arranged to purchase the centre vents as I had damaged one of the louvres when removing mine the first time... we agreed a price (which wasn't too bad, to be fair) and nothing. Then every 4 days for about 6 weeks I messaged him asking how he wanted payment... and it was never a convenient time to sell it to me for one reason or another. I wouldn't recommend him!

This has been posted abut a few times before, but I'm not surprised.
It's not going to disappear very quickly with prices and customer facing skills like that.
He posted a couple of times on here about six months ago. Lasted about 3 posts IIRC.
The phrase "No Helping Some People" springs to mind.

Biggest waste of time.

Really, the seller is one of those "special" people who will not listen to advice, guidance, common sense or logical reasoning.

By the looks of things, he's still be trying to flog those parts at dealer prices for a few years yet.

No business sense. Just greed.

Aye 100% feedback for the mugs who've bought stuff from him :(

Had a quick look earlier.

Only one feedback from a sale in over a year.

The others were him as a buyer.

That was negative.

Sold some xenons that were rubbish by the look of it.

So for anyone considering contacting this guy, I thought I would put up a transcript of my experience with him... and for the amusement of everyone else :-)

(these messages were exchanged via eBay)

Hi there,

Do you still have the centre vents from above the radio head unit? I have broken one of the louvres in mine - can you please check if they are all in tact?

Thanks

Dan

Hi there,

Hope you had a good holiday - any chance we could finalise the arrangements for the Z4 vents as I have a big hole in my dash

All the best,

Hi there,

Just thought I would try one last time to see if you'd like to sell me your Z4 centre vent?

All the best,

Dan

I shoud say that I have no objection to his pricing. Usual rules of supply and demand apply, he can ask whatever he wants and people will either pay it, or not.... but as a transaction, that was an infuriating experience.

I had the same thing too. Although I didn't push as hard as you. Probably 4 messages sent after agreeing a price and got no response. My dad messaged him on a seperate account asking for the same parts and he replied saying they were sold. He is a c**t.
