///M costs for Insp 1 & 2? (August 2013)

Mine price matched straight away. Did you try that against your local dealer?
 
Trying but one has already said no. Awaiting Bromley response. Otherwise I might just book ETA.
 
Insp 2 and Brake Fluid change booked now up with ETA for £650. Others didn't come back to me on price matching and BM Autosport could only do it all for £750.
 
I thought you had used ETA before. If not somebody on here has. I will probably use them or Bartley, but they are in Southampton so a bit far for you.

Yeah, I did with the MC for an oil service last June and they were brilliant. Great price, supplied own oil and they love Beemers. Thought Id look at other options but ETA still best local Indy so all booked up.

Do Bartley have a good reputation? I drive past them every day!
 
Just back from Insp 2 at ETA Motorsport and once again exceptional service and price.

Dropped me off yesterday/picked me up from Eynsford station today; Matt and Jeff are BMW fanatics and love an M engine. When I picked up this evening there was also another gent picking up his E30 M3 Evo after service with them.

Car is running sweetly, book stamped and they even fixed my slightly dodgy glovebox mechanism gratis!

If you're looking for an Indy in the south east I can highly recommend these guys. And half the price of Stephen James.

Worth asking still, but the fact they have invoiced for some would suggest they did check them. I'm guessing most garages would just say they were fine.

True. These guys I trust implicitly as the size they are means they exist on reputation.
 
As ive have said before, more than likely mine will go to them for inspections, need to factor in fuel and train fares though as they need overnight.

What's the updated vote on dealer/non dealer? I like the idea of a dealer service, but after a visit to Iridium Engineering in Southampton last week for a quick check, I can't see how any dealer would take as much care as these guys did with the car. They have excellent reviews across the web, taking pictures of rebuilds and works completed etc for the owner to show conditions of parts and what's been done. How can you get a better service history than that?

I always thought I would get my Ins2 done at a dealer, but thinking I would be stupid to now!!
 
I have to say I have not used Deutsch Tech in Milton Keynes but I will be as they charge £470 for inspection 2. I have spoken to them on the phone and they know there stuff.

One of the owners used to be a senior master technician and the other used to be a master technician for BMW. They take photos of the service progress, and specialise in M BMW's.

I will update after I have taken my car there.
