M Colour grill

Got these in the post today

Too dark out to put on car but will do in the morning.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I think the painted on stripes rather than the stick on stripes I have on my grills now look a little more natural to the car. Quality is great, well pleased!

By the way, I got these from eBay. Came all the way from Taiwan (even though advertised item location in USA).

They don't look too bad actually

Though my OCD hates that the side by side shot has them the wrong way round :headbang: :D

Thanks :)

Here's a few pics with them on. Please excuse the dirty car, gonna give it a nice pampering tomorrow.

Cheers thanks

I see these stripes on blacked out windowed 520d's with M badges and the like. Why anyone would want to put them on a real M car escapes me :scratchhead:
Each to their own I guess but imo that's a straight :rcard:

Well that's your opinion and I respect what you're saying. Me personally, I quite like it, it adds a little character to the front and as you said each to their own :)

Also, why wouldn't you see these on a real M? Isn't that a car you WOULD see them on?

Because no M car has ever come out of the factory with them!
BMW do sell them now I believe as part of the M-performance range for tarting up 135i's etc, which is exactly the kind of thing I'm talking about.

I thought one stripe was purple?
2 blues buddy then red :)

The central stripe is definitely purple. Apparently the light blue is from the Bavarian flag and the red represented BMWs association with Texaco in the early days of M racing. The purple was chosen as it is the natural blend of the light blue and the red.

You Google biatch hahaha

I'm with Tom K on this, not my cup of tea at all.
Think it'd look much better with all black or with the original M grills, the chrome rim suits the darker coloured cars IMO.

My dad has these on his red X4. Have to say that it really compliments the cars and looks good
Not a fan of it on a Zed, so I think it depends on the person & the car
