M button pressed - Pics added

Nicely played Rob

I think I'd marginally prefer an Alpina overall but an ///M seems much more car for the money.

Thanks for all the nice comments guy's

back at home so a little more to right - in a state of shock so did not take any photos when i was down and the dealer has taken the car of their website already :o

Don't have full spec sheet to hand but car has Carbon Leather, Non Flimper Spec, Heated seats and 10 speaker Steroe (was this an option or std on Ms) .

It was only going through some old posts on here i realised that Titanium Silver ZMRs are reasonably rare only about 50 of them .

The clincher for me was the one owner from new serviced each and every time at the same bmw dealership - the strange thing is that it was traded for an S3 ?!?? not even an RS3

Already started to wonder whether the M wheels would liik better in shadow chrome..... drats its started already

Oh and it needs a stubby

Well done mate, I did this swap (well 3.0i R to MC) and haven't looked back :) Out of interest, have you traded your Maldives R in then? Have you left all the nice mods on it?!

Surely you could swap some things about...?

Yep I've traded her as she stands - the clear lights and si brakes go with her. I was happy with what i got offered for her and seems strange but rather than take her back to std i'd like it to be sold on as it currently stands -the Aerokit was on it when i got it .

Hmm that photo brings back memories of earlier this year

Fair enough, thats a good philosophy and nice way to think :) Someone is going to get a mighty fine Zed with no need to catch this god awful Zeditis disease that's going round! Look forward to pics and review of the MR!

Welcome to the M club.

Interesting that despite what everyone always says, the one owner, non flimper, dealer maintained car won the day for you :D

Having moved from the same car as you to the M, I can promise you that you will really enjoy it as they are so different in many ways.

Well spotted- Not only did it win the day it meant I went for it now rather than switching in the spring - im pretty conservative with a smallc when it comes to buying a car.

I also saw two alpina roadsters but in the end there was something about the way the M delivered its power that I preffered, the Alpina had a lot to commend it and I would say to anyone thinking of a switch to drive both as one is not better than the other it's just a different approach - a little surprised by my decision as I've always fancied an Alpina of some description.

Hope the SNOW goes.... :headbang:
Don't worry, I bet you'll find a nice day soon when the snow has gone, the temp is just above freezing, the sun is out, and most people are staying home

I had to wait a month when I got mine for that 'perfect day' (31st December 2008), but it was worth it.

Great Photo-

The planned route is to drive to pick it up through the pass of Glenshee and then back through it with the M.

Sounds like a great collection/return plan. Always like to do this, pick out a good route to drive to and from on, get feel for the new car!

Enjoy the day. These are awesome cars

Great looking car Zermatt :) Looks tidy, bet you can't wait!

That looks awesome mmm-five, I think dirty cars can look just as good as sparkling clean ones! It's either one or the other though, halfway just looks crud and lazy!

Congratulations on moving into the M, bet you can't wait to pick it up, don't let the cold weather stop you getting the top down, went out in mine this morning roof off 4.5 degrees! I was freezing though!

I love how tail happy the M is in slippery conditions they do a good impression of my old Cerbera...if only it was as loud as that!

Can't wait to see some piccies when you get it!

Nice one Rob.

Now where are we meeting to swap out bumpers before you trade in :D

Glad my advice was helpful,Rob..alomg with other peoples too,and u weren't put off by the real-world opinion i gave of it,lol.

Looks very nice, sure you will love it,and it sounds amazing higher up the rev range in particular. I still havnt had the guts to plant my foot in every gear in mine yet..something i was more than comfy doing in my 3.0i,but the m's do have a good power delivery.

Nice to see another forum/meet regular upgrading from the 3.0i se to an M R :driving:
Car looks a beauty, look forward to seeing it in the near future at a meet
