///M bonnet on a non ///M EDITED LOL

Actually, lookong down the bonnet from inside is epic as well. I see what you mean Jonny, as in it will be the only thing left that you could change (that you want to change) and it would be a change for the better fo shooo! Bet you can't wait for the weather to perk up to get it out !

JE, you know there is more power to be had out of the N46B20 right? Ever looked into the 320si? Same engine but should take you to 60 ~1.7 seconds faster and let you run the revs upto 7300rpm, I think its nicknamed the baby M3. You would have a very special 4-pot if you could get one in that Z of yours. That's where I would be putting that £1200 (possibly alongside a little bit more).

I really like the idea of an E46 M bulge idea. This would need a Photoshop to test how it would actually look however.

Thing is £1200 is alot if money but by then there is nothing more i can do to my car, name any mod and its done and if not then i dont want it lol

bigger engine?

+1

I would be trying to get more out or your existing engine or get a donor 3.0 and do a swap, i think the grin factor with more power will make you feel better than looking at an M bonnet :)

Just get some fat Essex bird to sit on your current bonnet. You'd have all the ripples, ridges and lines you could ask for

edit: M bonnet does look v good.

Dam, I thought I was in fashion doing that.

There was another member here who fitted the M bonnet to his 3.0 coupe.. and imo I think it has as much visual impact as Aero skirts... probably more.. as you see it when driving.. while the skirts you dont. If i was keeping my car i would have gone down that route - so i say do it.. dont bother getting some aftermarket thing which will ruin it.

Thats opening yourself for abuse......

Sport seats
Extended Laather
NAV/ Audi upgrade
Bluetooth
Cruise control
cup holders?

And yeah engine!

To me I'd ignore the bonnet as you've done enough to the outside (looks gorgeous as is), and put the money into the interior as this is the place where you spend a lot of time in, and also the area where you've spent the least money or attention. You've had the seats re trimmed, get the same guys to add extended bespoke leather like your seats to make it very unique and original.

stop being a tight arse and get this bonnet :fuelfire:

its a bargain for £3,384.36p ...... oh and dont forget to factor in the £23.50p postage cost

Transplant a V10 engine from the E60 M5 or the V8 from the E92...

If your going to mod your car with M bits you may aswell buy an M... Also the added bonus that they are deprecation proof at the moment.

£1200 on a bonnet when a whole M is £13/£14k is nuts in my opinion.

If you have the money and want to do it and it'll give you pleasure, then go for it.

Personally I'd put it towards a super charger.

I think Paul has got it right. Custom bonnet is the way to go. Much cheaper and more original. I reckon a good body shop could sculpt the lines in and spray it for less than £1,

Bradders could sort it out for you

You're going to the wrong place Jonny.

Dips at Custom Cars in Heston is worth a shout.

He's done plenty (inc an m52 into an e30)
