I totally agree.paddy wright said:Those who care can tell the difference and those who dont wont notice so why do it? M is something toaspire to not fake. However i do like msport derivitives as long as they dont have the boot badge which is where the true faker comes in!
Very True - Last version 5 series 540's with an M sport package had M on the boot from the factory - even BMW supports posers.paddy wright said:Those who care can tell the difference and those who dont wont notice so why do it? Breaker said:Had a look around my local dealer yesterday and noticed that the Msport package 1 series has the M badge on the steering wheel, road wheels and the gear leaver from the factory. The M badge is just a logo of anything that the M division of BMW has had anything to do with. Be it an engine, a steering wheel or even a road wheel.

I actually go further to say that the M badge is reserved for the cars with M engines assembled from the factory. Slapping a badge for any other reason (eg. transplanting an M engine into a non-M car, them badging it as an M) is still poser.
But whatever... I won't publicly humiliate anyone who poses according to the above definition. They usually will get made fun of by others already.![]()
