Another bump for this! Anyone got a way to replace the badges/stickers without spending stupid money?
Hi Tomscott,Im a graphic designer and made my own. I did a lot of research used my current Z4M badges as a template an designed them to OEM spec...
I got in touch with BMW UK and they sent me the most up to date BMW M brand guidelines that they send to dealerships to have collateral produced. I have updated the colours to the newer M brand guidelines as our cars badges were produced using a slightly different Pantone. The newer colours are slightly more vibrant its subtle but looks much better in person.
Just need to find a printer that can print a vinyl that is hard wearing, resists UV (to improve on the current badges which is the issue) and obviously need to speak to a printer to see what vinyl options there are from a finish point of view I think they are gloss as standard, and get some test prints to check the colour accuracy. I also need to see if they can die cut them so there is no work when installing.
Could have a batch made if there is enough demand. They arent cheap to make in singles like £6 per badge with online retailers but I could have a local wrapping company print them and have them done on a big sheet which would reduce the cost considerably.
Beedub might be able to help as im sure he now deals with a lot of printers with wrapping cars with his business Topwrapz
Probably not the best time to enquire tho as most will be closed.
Put me down for a set tomscottI need some and have a supplier so I can order some if people want themI've made replica stickers that are to the BMW pantones and have measured etc and are exact replicas. Probably be £10 for a full set
Hi I will definitely have a full set off you aswell if you get this sorted ,Yes two wings and rear.
Il get intouch with the supplier and get a cost for a batch and report back
Essentially, there is nothing wrong with the plastic badge itself but the M element is a sticker which doesnt last long. With printed vinyl they should last a lot longer and is 10th the cost of replacing the badge then getting them to sit in the right place again is a bit of a pain.

I'll have a set please TomI need some and have a supplier so I can order some if people want themI've made replica stickers that are to the BMW pantones and have measured etc and are exact replicas. Probably be £10 for a full set
That is the pantone reference. But is the reason for the question as there will be some variation and print finish will also change the colour slightly.I know its not all calibrated (although its a IPS monitor)…
The 1st one is way off!
These are badges removed for an ZM 10 years ago and kept in a box
Thanks for this! Attached is the new vs the old. I still think the old one doesnt look right either.I prefer the newer colours for our generation of vehicles, but just for completeness, the colours I have for my old e34 M5 badge are (from when I did some window-stickers back in the day):
...and for RGB usage:
- Blue = Pantone Process Blue
- Purple = Pantone 268
- Red = Pantone Warm Red
Supposedly they also relate to some of the original paint colours:
- Blue = R0 G138 B201 (Hex: 008AC9)
- Purple = R43 G17 B90 (Hex: 2B115A)
- Red = R241 G26 B34 (Hex: F11A22)
- Avus Blue
- Daytona Violet
- Hellrot
