Luke and his Z - Getting there!

So after getting a little impatient seeing the facelift bumper staring at me I decided to test fit it and see how it looks... LOVE IT! Ended keeping it on and will get it re painted in a couple of weeks. Debating weather or not to spray the whole car. I've been toying with the idea of changing to white.
I also sprayed the front grills black which makes a big difference.
Also fitted the LED fogs which look great!
Will post some update pics tomorrow

BMW performance Gearknob arrived today and it feels fantastic! That's a Christmas preset from my inlaws so I'm going to have to wait for that!
Suede cover as above arrived too so looking forward to getting them on the car.
Honestly though, it feels lovely!!!!!

Had an hour or so free today so decided to play with the Z!
I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get the old bumper off and pop the new one on. I read the guide on here in the how to section a few days ago and it looked pretty simple, and it was! Result!
Just bought a new roof aswell so will be swapping that after Christmas sometime. (Motor is dead so looking for a new one, seller had the whole roof for a good price so I will take the lot and plumb it all in soon!)

Most looking forward to the Gearknob though!! :driving:

I'm rubbish at getting pictures of the car at the min!
Will get some up of the new bumper on tomorrow.

Update on things purchased...

Last but not least I've just ordered a keyless start stop control
Link here: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/NEW-RFID-alarm-push-button-start-transponder-immoilizer-system-passive-keyless-entry-release-lock-engine-automatically/665863512.html

Will loop out OEM imobiliser to be able to run it keyless, so the built in imobiliser on this was a must.

Ooh, and I got my front bumper washer plugs from Jamie at Sopers through today!
Roll on Christmas!!!

List so far to do over Christmas week:
Install iPod integration kit
Change gear knob and gaiter
Change handbrake lever
Change radio knobs

Then soon as this keyless system comes... Get it all plumbed in!

LukeMace, looking fantastic mate

From small beginnings (springs and spacers) to a veritable tsunami of mods - it is great to watch 8)

Thanks Bing,
It really takes its hold of you after a week or so!!

Quick image of the front bumper on.
Still to have it painted.

Will take some better pics when on a day it stops raining!! HATE THIS WEATHER!!

Another update.
I have changed my order for the start stop button to a module with -
Passive keyless entry (automatically opens doors and disarms alarm and imobiliser when I approach car)
Start stop button
Remote start

Lovely!
Can't wait to get this in my hands and start work on getting it going!

I do like the facelift bumper Luke..think I'm going to have to bump my wanted post soon!
Do it! Nice easy mod which (IMO) makes a big difference!

Ended up changing my mind with the Start Stop and got one of these instead!
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/The-Hot-Selling-Multiple-function-passive-car-alarm-system-Luxury-card-remotesl-with-key-blank-433mhz/613485_613579277.html

Passive Keyless entry (doors and alarm will arm/disarm when I approach/leave the vehicle)
Imobiliser - car wont start without the key being in proximity. If it gets hijacked then the engine will cut out when transponder is not in range (50m)
Remote start - start car from the remote supplied! Great on cold days!!
OEM imobiliser bypass.
Push Button Start/Stop (single press is the same as position 1 on key barrel, press twice and it does the same as position 2 on key barrel, press third time and car goes off. To turn on - press brake pedal down and hold start button. To turn off hold brake pedal and hold button down.

LOVELY! I imagine it is going to take some tinkering. I am hoping I can program the key to be able to do the alarm, boot release etc. if all works out... Sorry... WHEN all works out it will be great! :D

I had been thinking of quad exhausts. Maybe a joint venture or swap some info advice. Just to let you know I weld as well

Nice

Can't Wait to see your keyless entry working sounds like a good bit of kit

Sounds good to me! I was initially looking into having 2 small rear silencers but from feedback on here they sound very loud. I do quite a but of motorway driving so not really up for a big ol drone!
What I was thinking is to exit the OEM rear silencer from the side and run the tube across the back of the bumper and pop new tips on both ends. Will cost about £60-70 for a decent set of tips - unless you can make a decent looking Stainless set!? Pipe will be a couple of quid. TBH we have a factory with all the steel supplies to shake a stick at and I'm pretty handy with a welder too  we should meet up some time. Would you be able to do the work at your factory? If not we can use mine
