Can't justify the full Z4 luggage set (either BMW's or the roadsterbags.com set) but does anyone know how well the current BMW travel case fits in the car?

Obviously it will fit in the boot but don't want it rolling around or anything annoying...any views (or alternatives - it ain't exactly cheap!) appreciated...just need enough for a night or 2 away and I'd like a sturdy quality bag...
 
Shame you can't spring for the roadsterbag set, i love mine and just taking one case is as easy as the full e89 set. We've had our moneys worth out of them for sure.

I don't actually think the price for the roadsterbags set is too bad at all (so long as you avoid the website that has added a random £100!) - it's just that I have a sneaky suspicion this car will be a 12-18 month resident in my 'garage' before being changed for an E89 and the luggage set is different between each.

That said, I suspect the set would sell OK on ebay so may look at it again...
 
Oh to hell with it,ordered the roadsterbag set - they gave a 10% discount for forum membership (yes, I have the breaking strain of a warm mars bar!).

They've only got a few sets left in stock so if anyone has their eyes on them for summer now is the time to order I guess - once my order is confirmed!
 
Hope you like them and yes i'm sure you can ebay them. The e89 set is great; if you change the car later it will be worth investing in them again but i hope you get lots of use before then. Just look at it as an excuse to book a roadtrip :)

Perhaps we should have a gallery thread, 'the most exctic place my luggage set has been' :driving:
 
Ordered, £143 in delivery with forum discount. That would only buy 2 of the BMW bags so actually a decent deal. Other posts suggest quality is decent so fingers crossed.

Right, now I need to plan a weekend road trip - woohoo!
 
Just asked them if it will fit in the M

I am sorry but the suitcase set will not fit the M Version, as the boot is different.
We have no tailor made suitcase set for the M Version available. I am sorry."

What a shame, anyone know of a set that will fit?
 
Well my set arrived Friday (24 hour delivery from Germany - postoffice take note!).

Not had a chance to give them a proper test yet but they seem very good quality and nicely made. I have a near-pathological loathing of stuff loose in the boot so have actually put them in there to store them - means I can just drop shopping etc straight in...no more bottles of vino collapso rolling around the boot!

Very pleased with the service and apparent value for money. Right, weekend away to plan...
