Nearly loses his Lotus Esprit p&j at Exmuhle. Would have been handy for the hotel there
And lolz @ passenger at the end - couldn't keep his bratwurst down

He was a very lucky boy with his detour via the grass, it could have made a right mess.

The passenger was rather funny

Worth a grin, any idea what the car was who overtook quite fast ??

Went there a few times when I lived in Germany, back when F1 was on the Calendar.
Yes if you think you are a fast driver that!s the place to go but after watching Sabine
hammer gobby Clarckson on Top Gear I think I know my limits. 8)

Must be a record for a Lotus managing to run for more than eight minutes without breaking down :D
My Dad's had an S3 since I was a nipper and I can't remember a time when it WASN'T broken!
Still hope I get to inherit it one day as after 40 years, he's at the stage where he feels 'happy' with it. :D

I had an Elan S4 SE in the later seventies. One of the most unreliable cars I have ever owned. In one year it broke down 11 times. When it was working it was superb although the build quality was very poor. I spent a fortune having the body repainted and within six months it had micro blisters so decided to sell it. Good luck when you eventually inherit the S3. :D

Enjoyed that Chris. Now that's what you call getting it sideways. :driving: Like many we stayed in that Hotel when visiting the Ring several years ago. :D

Is it any good? Never been in.
We stayed in a couple of different place a bit further away due to cost and then later started camping out over the weekends to keep costs down even more. Quite apopular choice and usually a great way to meet petrolheads but can get a bit rowdy sometimes.
Gotta pick ur camping spots judiciously if ur after a good night's kip.

It was just fine, great breakfast I recall. This was early noughties, can't even remember which year, back before I had a digital camera. How things move on.

I thought the guy drove very well - good gear control in a car of that age & power - and I'd have chucked up if I'd been his passenger.

Very lucky Barsteward indeed, I bet he needed clean pants after nearly smacking the armco. Lol his passenger though

Stayed there 10 or so times (also early noughties through to late noughties). Nice place, clean comfortable rooms, decent bar and decent food. Eddy who owns it (presume he still does) is a really helpful and easy going chap.
