LSZ2 Stepping Motors - Headlight aim

At least now you know the LCM is good and your collection of motors are good

And thanks to G600 you know the break is probably in wiring somewhere between the connector and the back of the chassis, under the wheel liner

Yup, had that wheel liner off while I was changing the ABS pump, good thing it's easy to take off 😂

Replaced a ton of wiring as far up as I could... didn't resolve it. Just gave it to the garage this morning and they charged me £150 to replace the last part of the wiring!!!

BUT... IT WORKS NOW! I FINALLY HAVE AN MOT!!!

Nice one

Glad you got it sorted in the end. I guess you did most of the leg work as well, troubleshooting the issue. So you knew there was a problem with the wire somewhere...

Do you know where the break was? Cabin? Engine bay? (Could help others).

It was literally 6cm up from where I did the cabling... the mechanic told me that I was sooo close to the break.

It was just by the ABS pump. The mechanic said that there was a lot more cable there than there should have been, apparently someone has rewired the lights before and it was actually the rewiring that they did where a joint had failed. I didn't even see it because it was wrapped up so much in black tape!

That's interesting. It failed where it was "repaired" previously. But nice you sorted it

I didn't see the failed joint but the garage said it was quite an amatuer job. I reckon someone bought a new wiring harness from the headlight switch and just soldered it to the existing cables in the engine bay. Explains why that switch has clearly been removed before.

But yeah. Over the moon I can finally start using it! 😄
