Ls powered roadster

Nothing to do with me but there's a build thread on pistonheads readers cars section of a guy that's put an ls into a z4 roadster , good thing is he's actually got it up and running , driving and has had it mot tested so it's legal .

Small Block V8

They've been putting them into the MX5 for years.

300 - 755 bhp depending on the engine.

When the e85 came out an M5 engine was dropped in it. There's a video on the YouTube.

There's also a few videos of Z4's with engine swaps in some drag races.

The engine swap on these cars isn't new but never heard of an LS engine going in.
 
Myself and I believe Mr. Tidy have been following with interest! Looks like he is mad as a hatter but kudos to him for pulling it off. :thumbsup:

A friend of mine has a roadster with an M5 V10 in it - done all the work himself. Looks fairly standard but sounds and goes like a rocket!

Yeah that would be the one! Very tidy build, if you didn't know what you were looking at you would think it was factory!

He's doing fine now - or he certainly was last time we spoke. Has moved to a new unit near Straiton and is still working on all sorts of stuff.
 
I got these 2 off the net - I imagine it's the same car.

Looks a fantastic installation too!
